    9/04/2025 I had a very dissappointing experience here at spca frankton, I was at the counter ready to purchase a pink keep cup priced at $2 and a smaller coffee keep cup priced at $3 (perfect prices for secondhand donated items) An older man was at the counter he grabbed the $2 priced cup and showed the other two lady workers sorting through donations, he came back to the counter, with the cup RE-PRICED to $10 !!! He said someone had put the wrong price on it, I was absolutely speechless the cups in question are valued brand new at kmart for $16 and this cup was well used ! Prices in this secondhand shop are not reflecting the used items, prices are far from what they are worth for donated used items, opshops are ment for everyone including lower income households however this is not so, so to anyone wanting a deal for secondhand this place is not it

She is an incredibly kind-hearted and efficient lady who goes above and beyond to help customers. The shop itself offers a great variety of items, including clothes, kitchenware, and electrical appliances—everything you need for daily life at affordable prices. One of the most special aspects of this shop is Ms. Natasha’s love for dogs. Her beloved dog is always by her side, and you can even spot them on Google Street View! For my wife and me, shopping at SPCA Op Shop Frankton was more than just a great retail experience—it was life-changing. As newcomers to New Zealand, we were lucky to meet Ms. Natasha, who not only welcomed us warmly but also gave us a valuable opportunity to gain local experience.     I thought I was helping the spca by donating which i frequently do, however after my experience yesterday I won’t be donating again. I dropped off my goods to have two staff members go through every single item to see if they were good enough to donate. To say the least I was utterly embarrassed. To have customers come out of the shop while staff members going through the bag made me feel dreadful. I understand people drop off junk however this just made me feel bad.

    DEFINITELY support SPCA Frankton - the more support WE give, they will support us by keeping their prices lower - great for everyone AND the animals too.! Great place, really good range with friendly and helpful staff. Love hunting through for amazing bargains which I find every visit! Good prices, unlike some others that are just getting too greedy, for items that are "donated". Keep up the wonderful work team :)
