We needed a safe place to park our van for the night after doing a long drive from the north and this was perfect. Felt very safe and quiet and had lots of space - there were maybe 15 other campervans there when we arrived at 8:30pm and we still easily got space. Toilets were very clean and there was also a dump station. No showers. They ask for $5 donation which is well worth it.

Potable water, dump station, clean toilets, sink for dishwashing. Plenty of room for campers. Great place. Views could be better.

This is a camping site for all vehicles, close to the Rugby club, maintained by the local domain. Te Kauwhata is only about an hour drive from Auckland airport. A 5 dollar donation is requested for, quite justifiable, as the area has toilets, sink and a dumping station besides a cafe. Though the area for camping is marked, vehicles were seen in parking lots other than member lots. Tents were also seen.

Nice ,safe overnight stop Toilets are clean, with dish wash sink , cold water. Parking lot , so enough space. Did not see a limit to amount of vehicles that could park. No dump stations or showers. Next to sports grounds , off main road so you can at least get a Good night sleep.

It can get busy quickly! We stayed here for a couple of nights, and it was quiet and felt safe. Clean flushing toilets, drinking water, and washing up area. For the whole time we were there, there wasn't any soap in the ladies' toilets. There is an optional donation.

Excellent free site to stay for non-self contained and self contained for up to 2 & 3 nights respectively, though I am not sure who is keeping tabs on such a thing. Female/male washrooms, outdoor sink with counter space, and numerous spots available make this a great spot. Multiple overnight street lamps can make it harder to sleep but provide a well lit area and a better sense of security. $5 recommended donation in an honesty box, however this is simultaneously a free site so make your own judgement I suppose.

What a great place to camp, everything you could need except for a shower. Potable water is a pita to fill motorhome tank but made due. Pay the 5 dollars people, it is definitely worth it.

Nice site for freedom camping (only for vehicles). Right next to the rugby pitch. Facilities are great (toilets and sink to wash the dishes).
