We had a shower liner replaced about 10 years ago by FW Maintenance services. While 10 years might be considered a reasonable time for a shower these days, we have had a number of issues. The wood used wasn't treated so we had to replace that a few years ago. A tenant slipped and cracked the bottom of the liner. According to the builder who is now replacing the liner again, the bottom of the shower liner wasn't adequattely supported and he was surprised it had lasted so long. There were other comments made but I'll leave it at that.
