As per Sarah's experience - if they need to order something in, walk away. The lack of communication, delays with zero accountability and general abusiveness towards the customer while they are the ones falling to deliver is inexcusable. Would happily give lower than one star if possible.
My spa needed some TLC and the response was fast, efficient and friendly. So often we buy things without considering after sales service, absolutely no problem here.
Had an incredible experience from Hot Spring Spa, Hornby - Matthew Lowe in November 2024. Approached the dealership regarding my 2014 Sovereign spa and explained the faults being experienced. Matthew and his team accurately diagnosed the issues, supplied the necessary parts and provided accurate installation instructions. The service is impeccable and the friendliness outstanding! If you are thinking about buying a spa pool, please visit Hot Spring Spas. When you search for spas in NZ, you are overwhelmed with choices and Alpine Spas comes up a lot (because they are good at digital marketing). But the thing is, Hot Spring Spas have been around a very long time in Christchurch and they have a long track record of providing quality spas. Jeff was even able to show me spas from like 1997 that they were refurbishing and were still working! Our friends had a spa put in their house around 30 years ago by Hot Spring Spas and it's still working! I think that you're better off just getting a quality spa to start with (in the long term it will cost less). They are also the only company I could find that were able to tell me the day to day running costs of my spa in actual numbers. I nearly bought a spa through Alpine Spas (rash decision), but Alpine Spas couldn't definitively tell me how long their spas would last (despite what their website says, Alpine Spas told me they have only been around since 2015, so they last at least "that long"). This put me off so I did more research and came across Hot Spring Spas and was so impressed with the fact that if I look after my spa, I could have it for 20 years. We got a covana as well (which is an automated gazebo giving us total privacy) and it's just amazing, we are so, so happy. It has been amazing for my physical and mental wellbeing already. And we feel reassured knowing that if we need help with anything, that Hot Spring Spas will still be around given how long they have already been around.
