It was overall really great. Love the outside seating however the booths inside are very comfy as well. The chicken salad was a nice refreshing meal after my potato herb Rosti. Definitely reccomend and the service was lovely. Our waiter came out and took photos for us without us even having to ask.

Great little place, very friendly staff and the the food was phenomenal. I ordered the chicken tacos, Hubby wanted the Hawaiian burger but they were out of pineapple. The server recommended their top two sellers and he went with the Korean Chicken burger and it was fantastic. It was like a buffalo chicken without the heat. Portions were very large too. We were surprised with the complex yet light flavors and hinestly did not expect that from this quaint looking little place. The atmosphere could use a little more sprucing to reflect the great quality of the food but other than that, no complaints!

Went to Hamilton a few months ago (delayed review, I know) but I remember me enjoying my food. Hubby and I had a brunch date here. I ordered the burger with fried chicken and chips on the side, I thought it was really nice.

Came here for lunch and got the Steak and eggs, Buffalo chicken wings, and a side of surly fries! The steak was topped with some creamy mushrooms which were great and the portion of steak cut fries was very generous (I think it was fried in beef tallow too judging from the beefy flavor). The buffalo wings were delicious, and the spice had a tangy taste to it which we really enjoyed! The overall portion was generous and we couldn't finish the curly fries (we got a small size but it was enough for the two of us). The only slight negative was that the steak was slightly overdone (we got more of a medium rather than a medium-rare) but everything aside from this was great! Would come here again!

Visited the Hood St Bistro on a Wednesday evening. Enjoyed a coffee while we waited until the chef arrived at 6pm for the dinner menu. The atmosphere was really nice, interesting decor, good coffee and service was very good. We ordered the steak meal on mashed potatoes with beans and pork belly on mushroom risotto with apple and fennel salad. The steak was over-cooked and it would have been nice to taste more mushroom in the risotto. The apple salad was beautiful, just wish there was more of that and less risotto. We shared the yam cheesecake which was really interesting - a purple filling topped with a salted caramel sauce. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.

Loved the pull pork tacos - nice char tacos with perfectly seasoned pork inside. Alabama burger was heavenly too. Deep fried chicken, tender, beautifully cooked with southern style coating. Lamb shank was pretty great too, very soft and easily pulled off its bone. Loved the corn grit and touch of red wine jus. If anything the lamb itself need a touch of seasoning, but that's not the big deal since the grit packed a load of punches.
