Lots of little nooks and picnic tables to kick back with a a coffee or bite to eat while overlooking the myriad of birds enjoying the sheltered lakes. Good spot to go for a walk and grab some fresh air too.
Great place for a stroll around the lake. Ideal place to walk the dog and look at the water fowl. Good for kids and a bit of fishing
A small wild reserve that you can walk around in a few minutes. It is kind of cool that this nature scene just sat beside a living community.
Beautiful park for a walk, picnic, and coarse fishing (fishing license requires). Spacious and fantastic for family and group outings.
Good spot for watching water fowl. Managed to find a pair of Australasian Crested Grebes! Less than 1000 left in New Zealand so a great find.
Kaiapoi Lakes Reserve. Great place for a walk and feed the ducks have a picnic and maybe catch a fish Very good childrens playground. Plenty of parking and clean toilets.
One of the regionβs best playgrounds, particularly for young children. Nice, quiet setting by the lake, with wooden walkways and viewing areas. Facilities include picnic benches and modern toilets. Playground equipment is new, tidy and varied. Beautiful in the evening with the sun setting across the lake and through the trees.
