Plenty of time per session. Huge sauna. 2 meter cold plunge! Lots of space. Pretty affordable. Iβd go check it out early morning or late at night instead of during the sunny hour next time

We had a perfect morning for this planned trip thankfully as you need to prebook on the website. The pools were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. While we spent the entire visit in a single pool, there were many choices and I have tried them out on different occasions. In my opinion this is a great pool to bring a baby/toddler family to. The 1st pool has a big terraced entrance for new water babies and a deeper part so that adults can hover along the edge of the shallow section supporting their tamariki. I highly recommend.

Amazing spot to relax and rest your body. Everything was clean - multiple pools, sauna & steam room. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Book ahead but it wasnβt overcrowded inside.

Great spot! Pools of different heat levels and a sauna with a view of the beach. Make sure to book in advance before you arrive. You get a two hour time slot.

He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools offers a fantastic experience, especially if you visit during off-peak hours where the pricing is incredibly reasonable β we felt it was great value for money! The changing rooms are very well-appointed and clean, though only one hairdryer was working during our visit. The staff were nice and all the pools were truly lovely, providing a wonderful relaxing soak. My main gripe was having to wait outside in the rain for our time slot rather than in an indoor area, or even the cafe. It would be a much better experience if they allowed guests to wait inside. I definitely recommend booking ahead to secure your spot.

Beautiful hot pools and Sauna, plunge pool! We booked in advance but could not come and they kindly placed our booking on hold until we were ready. The only suggest I have is to revise your ticket system! It can be frustrating to walk in to find no tickets available when visible hardly any people in the pools and also the session times are just silly.. Instead maybe look at a maximum number of people at any given time. If some one books for a certain 2 hours session but leave after 1 you still donβt allow anyone else in.. Everything else great!

What a way to make memories! Best friend and I did the 6.30am Sunrise Soak.. met with friendly staff, provided dressing gown and slippers, changing rooms with heated floors and so clean and tidy... and then delicious Mocktails before and during, and best of all the hot pools looking over the beach and watching the sun! Surreal! Still got to work on time! Do it! *photo of before going in and then after soak!

Lovely place to be in winter. Affordable and great facilities. Recommended to book in advance. The hot tub (right on top) is the most crowded since it has the best view and is the warmest). Would have been much more peaceful with lesser people, but then obviously prices would go up. There is also a steam room and sauna (towels compulsory), with the latter barely having anyone using it.

The Sunrise Soak experience was very pleasurable (donβt bother arriving much before 7:30 a.m.) and included an optional 8-minute guided relaxation, piped into the sauna - but since I find saunas too hot after a couple of minutes, the lifeguard replayed it for me while I soaked in a pool. I appreciated the complimentary beverages - a nice touch, including a post-soak hot drink at the adjacent cafe ($1 extra for decaf coffee). Too bad the two hair dryers in the womenβs changeroom were out of order. And apparently, the ocean-facing pool wasnβt as warm as it should be, though two other pools were warmer (none were hot). There is also a cooler pool to swim a few laps, plus a cold plunge pool. Pleasant staff. Given that the pools are open-air, it might be less enjoyable in inclement weather. A partially sunny June morning was lovely, but I was glad of the loaned robe for walking between pools.
