If you stay here, watch out. Several of the cottages have mouldy walls with peeling paint. The air conditioning units in some cottages did not allow us to change temperatures or from heat to cool, several of us got sick as a result of freezing temperatures at night. They also will charge extra for power, even though we could not turn off the AC. Keep everything in writing. When offered a refund on an overcharged power bill, it was charged anyway, even after assurances they would not charge. The head cleaner also threatened to charge a friends cottage with a bill for a smelly bin, which according to our contract, they can not do. Landscapers also left branches etc. outside their flat and they were blamed and threatened over that instance as well. Maintenance requests often fail. A cottage with friends had a broken oven for over two months. We went in atleast once a week. We tried to explain but werenβt heard out. They refused to change it and until several others were reported as broken. Similar instance with our fridge. Could you imagine living without an oven unit that functions? And an AC unit always on cold blast in the dead of winter? They also charges us $260 per week each for this. If you love to party, this place is for you. Noise complaints were often not actioned, allowing parties to move from cottage to cottage. In other words, donβt let them push you over if you decide to move here. There are nice people here too. Those sheets, pillows, clothes etc. you donated when you left at the end of the year? Apparently they get dumped. Took a car load to the local hospice after finding this out from the cleaners there. When mentioning this issue, since charity shops often will come get the stuff, they told us to do it. On the plus side, met tonnes of cool people and made friends.
