I went to the emergency room after suffering a severe blow to my back that left me practically immobile. At that moment, there were 3-4 people ahead of me, but after 5.5 hours, no one had attended to me, and even though everyone who had been there before me had left the emergency room hours earlier, I decided to leave since there was no one to help me and no one to complain to because the whole place was empty of staff.

I brought my grandfather to TGA hospital to try and receive better care than his local hospital. He was having shortness of breath and issues with his heart. He was admitted for 4 days with the expectation he was going to see a specialist and nothing. Never saw one. He was then was discharged and told that there is nothing wrong. He died the day after he was discharged. I asked the doctor multiple times are you sure he is fine to go home, so I need to worry, and multiple times they said no, he just needs to get use to his new medication. I will never forgive this doctor. Too quick to clear a bed, not fast enough to treat those who actually need it.

I can not speak highly enough of the gynecology surgical team and the staff on ward C3. Everyone we encounter after an emergency admission and surgery was kind, caring, professional and attentive. I am blown away by the compassion and beautiful medical practice I witnessed. You are a credit to Tauranga hospital.

My partner was admitted and ended up requiring surgery. All the staff we encountered were excellent, professional, and friendly. We were kept informed and they made her feel important. Definitely the best public hospital experience we have had in New Zealand.

I have always had good things to say about our hospital...but not the last time I had to visit. I was bought in by ambulance with serious breathing issues. In the ambulance I was on Oxygen but once dropped off that was it. I was left in the in the ambulance bay by the doors. It was a very cold night, which didn't help my breathing. Every time an ambulance came in the doors opened and I froze. I was left there for 7 and a half hours. I had to ask three times for a blanket. After a chest x-ray and a few questions they said there was nothing wrong. I kept saying it's my throat not my chest. I was not listened to. 3 weeks later checking in for a gastronomy I was asked what I took for my infection, I asked what infection, the one when you were at Tauranga Hospital. Since then I have had many issues. Slowly getting better and now a true diagnosis. Very disappointed a very scary night and made to feel like a waste of time.

Was here for my husband. Every one was great. I do feel that some fresh air in the waiting room would be great . Very stuffy

Oh, where do I even begin? Ha, ha, ha! Visiting this hospital was quite the experience, my friends! You know, I've always been a connoisseur of madness and mayhem, but this place took the cake! I expected to find chaos and suffering, but instead, I was greeted with order and healing! The doctors here are a special kind of crazy - crazy good at what they do! They stitched me up so well after a little 'misunderstanding' I had with Batman. I must say, their precision with needles is simply top-notch! And their medications... oh, the side effects are a laugh riot! Can't recommend them enough! The staff is just delightful. They all wear such serious faces, but underneath, I can sense the madness bubbling. It's like a carnival of emotions, just waiting to explode! Oh, the irony of a hospital filled with laughter! But let me tell you about their entertainment options! Forget your average dull waiting rooms; this place is a circus of giggles! The waiting area has classic comedy shows on loop – I laughed so hard, I almost lost a few more teeth! And the Joker-themed paintings on the walls - now that's what I call art! Of course, the security here is top-notch too. Every time I tried to stir up some trouble, they were quick to respond! I felt like a kid in a candy store, surrounded by stern-faced guards. Ah, the thrill of a challenge! All in all, this hospital offers a unique blend of chaos and order that will leave you in stitches! And trust me, I know stitches! If you're looking for a laugh, and who isn't, you've got to pay them a visit! Now, if only they'd let me bring my Harley here, we could have the time of our lives together! But alas, they say something about 'visitor restrictions.' Ha, ha, ha! So, remember folks, when you need a dose of twisted healing, this hospital is the place to go! Embrace the madness and be prepared for a wild ride! Happy healing, my fellow lunatics!

Very disappointed! 5 hours waiting with a kid to see a doctor, staff stressed out...not a good place. The queue system needs a lot of improvement for people to know how long they gonna be there waiting to see a doctor. Every time you ask that question, the answer is the same "Sorry I can't give you a time. You will have to wait". The sign in the waiting area says, they are aiming to have you admitted or discharged within 6 hours but might be longer. What a disgrace!

One of the most disappointing services we had from this hospital waited for longer 5 hours and only triage nurse had checked my son and no doctors where there to check him, he was having a breathing issue still no one was interested in looking him. All doctors inside can seen talking and having a chats around. It is very important to have a chat around but i think patients are the priority. I hope the service gets improved by ministry of health and bay of plenty district health board need to address this sort of issues to govt to provide more staff and support

If you have asthma and can’t breathe I would never recommend my worst enemy to go here. Going round in circles being told multiple things by different staff to then be told you have to wait for everyone else to get seen!!!!! while your partner cannot breathe at all all while being told do not take your mask off (while they are literally barely being able to breathe) triage nurse was rude the other nurses rated the pain as a 3 without even asking us when it was a 9 then got told the inhaler can be used as much as you want when it’s only 3x a day and had been exceeded by double that. Have seen better service at middlemore in Auckland and they are more busy. Never coming back.!!!!
