Went into the pharmacy today to ask for Flixonase nasal spray. A mature well-mannered man at the counter pointed it out on the shelf for me. I saw the product there, but was a little confused as to the pricing of the product; as some the same product had two different price stickers on them (see photo attached). There was no visual difference for either product, so I asked the man at the counter about the difference between the two. He looked a little baffled, and mentioned that there was no difference (just the price). I said to him that I will purchase the lower-priced item. He refused to give the requested nasal spray back to me, and said that they had made a mistake with the stickers, and that I will have to pay the higher advertised price. I proceeded to tell him that as a consumer, I was well within my rights to purchase the product at the lower stickered price on the item I had. His tone & mannerism slightly changed, and he quickly signalled to another male staff member to check the product. In a haste, they removed approximately 7x mis-stickered nasal spray from the shelf, and he started to peel the sticker off the one I had previously had. I protested once again, and told him that I could have ignorantly opted to not mention anything (if I was a malicious/devious person), and stated that he legally has to sell the product to me at the lower price. He completely disregarded my request, and claimed that it was not their fault, and that they did not have to sell it to me. I was very disappointed with the whole interaction, as his ignorance and disregard for the law (and patronising mannerism) really put me off. Will be following up with a formal complaints to the commerce commission, as I believe their establishment has breached the Fair Trading Act. Definitely will recommend to my networks to avoid this unprofessional pharmacy. Absolutely shocking!
West Hamilton Pharmacy is a great little pharmacy, very friendly staff and an excellent prompt service. It is a "very little" pharmacy, so frequently they need to order your prescription medicine in as they have very little in stock.

Horrible place, doesn't follow Drs instructions, causes problems, cancelled my scripts WITHOUT CONSENT then said my Dr lied. Privately owned they do as they please. There's also kid running around the dispensary which is WRONG. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE
