Good experience at the salon. It is wonderful that the staff, particularly Kanika, are providing such excellent service. Her skill in shaping your eyebrows has resulted in a beautiful outcome. It is clear she takes great pride in her work.
Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience — Waxing Appointment!!! My mum and I have been loyal customers of Allure Beauty Salon Bayfair since it first opened, and we’ve always trusted their professionalism and service. Unfortunately, today’s experience was completely unacceptable and deeply upsetting for my mum. My mum has eczema, which is a non-contagious inflammatory skin condition. It can flare up on different parts of the body and can be passed on genetically, but it cannot be transmitted through physical contact. She has had waxing done at this salon multiple times before by the same lady without any issues. We arrived around 1 PM, and I told the lady that my mum wanted a Brazilian and leg wax. She immediately said she couldn’t do it because my mum had eczema. I explained that eczema is not contagious and reminded her that my mum had previously had the same services at this salon without any problems. She then changed her mind and said, “Okay, I can do it.” I confirmed again by asking, “Are you sure?” and she said yes before taking my mum in for the appointment. While my mum was getting waxed, I went to get my pedicure done. Not long after, my mum came out quickly, looking upset. She told me that the lady had only waxed half of her leg, then went outside to talk to another customer, saying she’d be five minutes. When she came back, she finished my mum’s legs, but when it came time for the Brazilian wax, she again said she couldn’t do it — then changed her mind again and said she could. She started waxing the front part, but refused to complete the back, even after being asked. Throughout the entire process, her attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. My mum felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and disrespected. Despite not completing the service, she was charged $85. After my pedicure, I went to the same staff member to ask why my mum had been treated that way. She said it was because of my mum’s eczema and that they would have to “change everything, including the wooden sticks.” I explained that changing sticks and equipment between clients is basic hygiene practice that should always be done for every customer — eczema or not. Double-dipping is never acceptable in professional waxing. The situation was handled extremely poorly and left my mum feeling humiliated in front of other customers. As loyal clients, we expected kindness, respect, and professionalism — none of which were shown that day. I hope management takes this incident seriously, provides a full refund for the $85 charged, and ensures this type of behaviour and misinformation never happens to another customer again.
I’ve had multiple good experiences here a few years ago, but today I left upset with uneven brows. I was not asked how I like my brows done, only what colour I wanted and when I said medium brown, I received extremely dark brown. The inner parts of my brows were darker than the outsides, brows weren’t evenly coloured, tint was not in straight lines so one brow looked bigger than the other. I went home and scrubbed them off as best I can. Credit, the lady there did try to fix them up but they weren’t good.
had such a great experience here! The salon is clean, welcoming, and super professional. Dolly was my waxer and she was absolutely amazing—she made me feel so comfortable the entire time and was really thorough while still being gentle. She explained everything clearly, worked quickly, and the results were perfect. Honestly one of the best waxing experiences I’ve had. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend booking with Dolly if you can!
Kanika did a great job - gentle, attentive and quick! Eyelash extensions and threading. I highly recommend her work and her easy manner. If you're thinking about getting your lashes done and you're in the Bayfair area come see her you'll be glad you did
My first time experience was lovely did henna brows by the store manager and so I was happy to keep going back. However 2nd time I went to do eyelash extensions by the same lady and it was very sore, the pads kept slipping inside my eyes and she kept pulling my skin eyelid with the tweezers. When she finished it was definitely not what I wanted and I was not happy with it and yet she still charged me full price. When I went home an hour later it was irritating my skin and so I was able to get another lady home-based to fix my eyelashes only to find out that Sweta at Allure glued them to my eyelid skin making it very painful and tight basically she did them very wrong and if I had left it my eyes would have been infected. Now I'm not one to complain but this is the worst experience I have had. Not to mention the extensions are not individuals and instead ones that you can get from kmart. I was trying to be nice as possible about my complaint but the staff was very judgemental and rude. They refused to refund me but I argued the customer service being terrible and so the store manager got back to me after speaking with her manager and said would only refund 50% of the cost. I said no way so the only other option was to get another service done of the same value. So I got a Brazilian wax done by another staff there and she did it in a way that she just rushed the service to get rid of me which was also painful. They do not go above and beyond for customers and only do the bear minimum. Very poor and will not go back again. Very rude to deal with after I was not happy with my service and still charging me full price. Highly do not recommend wasting your money at this place. It was a painful experience with a don't care attitude just pay the money. Especially my lashes being pinched everytime I closed my eyes and the lashes clumped together messy. Don't recommend at all and does not deserve a star. Sweta is the manager there and very rude, and my brows were also crooked the second time round and uneven. Was very mad.
Amazing service!!! Especially Raman!!! She does the best eyebrows. I never even need to check the mirror afterwards, I just KNOW she has me sorted. The whole team here is fantastic! Friendly, kind and genuine. Will never go anywhere else. Thank you!
Went and got my eyebrows waxed, shaped and tinted. They look absolutely amazing then I thought about getting my lash extensions done. They were horrible. Messy, sore, painful. They are falling out. Got stabbed in the eye a few times from the tweezers. They are horrible. And charged me $85 for them to turn out like this. Going back tomorrow to make a complaint. I want my money back!!!! Dont go there definitely wouldn't recommend!!
SAVE YOUR MONEY! First time coming here for a lash lift today and will be the last! I have had lots of lash lifts before but have never had chemicals in my eye and an unpleasant experience. I’ve also never had my forehead tapped either. She handed me the mirror, and they looked the same and barely even curled! The lady said “don’t touch them and wait 1 day, they will look better tomorrow” , I knew I should have said something because it’s an instant thing, not wait and they suddenly get better?! Went home and very dissatisfied. Overpriced too.
Don’t go here . THERE USE TO BE A GOOD LADY who did a good job of brow shape and tint , but last few times I have been had different lady’s .. went Sunday for brows and wasn’t 100% happy, Today thought I would try lash lift as it was convenient. Terrible job . Charged me for a tint even tho they say u can’t tint for 48 hours so were kind enough to give me only 15 dollars back . Had lifts before and my eyes look exactly the same as they did when I first woke up this am . Gonna go to a busier place in the future !!!! Also when she was brushing out my lashes jt was rather painful !!!
