   I am a retired motor mechanic and of all my experiences never come across someone like Matt who is the owner operator of Quinn's Auto Repair Mount Maunganui. This person is so honest and knowledgeable, will go beyond his duty for the customer to achieve the right result to fix the issues or repairs being done. I will go as far as to say, he fixed a problem on my vehicle no one else could find including the franchise company of my vehicle type. His charges are reasonable and I would fully recommend this company to anyone looking for servicing and or repairs to your vehicle and a specialist in CVT transmissions.    Absolutely amazing service. Matt was truly awesome! So knowledgeable and helpful. Sorted the transmission on my Nissan Wingroad for a fraction of the price it was going to cost me in Auckland. He even buffed out some marks in the bumper for me. Thank you Matt and Krystal.

   Called Matt to service my wagon but it wasn't a transmission he was familiar with. He said he could get advice from colleagues to get it done right if i needed but also put me onto other transmission guys that might be experienced with it. Got hold of one of them and so i am booked in with the right guy for my vehicle. That is customer service of the highest class, making sure the customer gets what they are after even if it means them not actually becoming a customer (on this job). Thanks Matt. Really appreciated. Will be back in the future im sure.

   Our cherished Nissan family car was about to be scrapped after the CVT became a problem and quotes to repair were not economical. All I can say is thanks to a Google search "CVT specialist NZ" which gave me Matt Quinn and with it, my car a stay of execution! Matt was able to trouble shoot the problem over the phone and provided me a way to get the car running well enough to risk the journey from West Auckland to the Mount. Confirming all 5 star reviews on here, Matt worked his magic for a fraction of the price and had the transmission rebuilt (same day - no promises aye Matt) "to better than factory spec". This guy knows his stuff and I found him a super easy humble character with bucket loads of integrity. A highly recommended Mechanic with awesome knowledge and great communication. I hope like me, others out there with CVT problems find Quinn's Auto Repairs and get the best possible outcome! Thank-you again Matt.

   From start to finish, Matt at Quinn’s Auto Repair was exceptional! My CVT was making a straining noise and I was expecting a full replacement based on diagnosis in Hamilton. I gave Matt a call, he described exactly what the issue was and then offered the impossible - a quality repair at a quarter of the price. I risked it and drove an hour and a half with my dodgy transmission to Quinn’s - the car survived, and was fully repaired over the weekend. It sounds too good to be true, but Matt is a wizard, a transmission magician for sure. Give Quinn’s a call and you’ll be surprised.

   Matt is a wonder! When my car broke down, Quinn's Autos was recommended by several people from different garages that I rang. This also included the tow truck operator who took me to his workshop..(5.30pm Friday night and Matt was still open and happy to help.) These people all said that he was THE BEST at replacing transmissions. Thankyou Matt, for your open and honest communication, and keeping me up to date. There were issues with the second hand transmission but once again, nothing was too much trouble and it was sorted quickly and efficiently. If I could give 10 stars I would. Great service, great attitude and great work. Many thanks!!
