   I had great time fishing 2 days with Ben! He’s very easy to talk to, excellent fishing guide and all around good guy. He spotted fish for me all day and when I got the cast and drift right, I nailed the fish and Ben did a great job netting them! Loved Fishing with him!!!!

   I had a wonderful fly fishing experience with Ben Haywood. It was my first time trying this and Ben was patient and kind and gave very clear instructions. I was able to understand the basic mechanics of fly fishing fairly quickly. I even caught 3 fish! I cannot think of a more pleasant person to spend the day with. I highly recommend this activity!

   Ben means business and is passionate and experienced. He got us to some incredible, remote, and scenic 'secret spots' where there were excellent trout, both rainbow and brown. We caught a load and had a great time. The overnight camping was also a lot of fun. Would highly recommend. I'll be coming back.

   My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 2 days fishing with Ben, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! It was clear that Ben was not only highly skilled but also passionate about the sport of fishing. He made sure to explain the technique and took us to some great spots to guarantee our success. As someone who hasnt picked up a fishing rod in 30 years I appreciated how patient and attentive he was even when i continually got the line tangled and snagged. Thanks to Ben we caught our trophy trout and had a wonderful 2 days, they were the highlight of our trip. If you're looking for a fishing guide who knows the waters, offers great service, and genuinely cares about providing a fantastic experience, look no further than Ben. We are definitely returning next year and booking another trip.

   I had never fly fished before my three day road trip experience with Ben. He had the necessary patience and experience, to put a new fisherman on to fish consistently. Combined with the spectacular scenery and river systems, this trip was a trip of a lifetime. To top it off, the quality of the wild trout in the Canterbury plains fishery are magnificent.

   Fishing with Ben @ Braided Rivers Fishing Guides was nothing short of phenomenal. Probably the best three days of flyfishing I have ever experienced and I live in flyfishinhg heaven. We saw absolutely beautiful water and caught some great fish. I have never sight fished before and it was incredible. Ben has the eyesight of a hawk. You would be doing yourself a great disservice if you go to Christchurch and do not give Ben a call. the fishing and the camaraderie will not disappoint you.

   Phenomenal day of fishing for some of the largest trout on earth. Ben guided me on the Tekapo canals and I had an amazing day. You’d be hard pressed to find another guide that is as patient, knowledgeable and passionate about the NZ fishery. I can wait to come back and break my personal best trout record.
