Great place for brunch. Wasn't too busy when we went in. I had the chicken eggs bene which I enjoyed. My husband had the croissant which he also enjoyed. Our mochas were good. Cabinet food wasn't overly huge but had a nice selection of sweet and savory food. We must come back.
It was an okay experience for me and hubby. We got there a few minutes before 8am so not much people around but it took a bit of wait for us to have our orders — Latte and matcha. After maybe 10-12 minutes we finally got them in to-go cups. I was a bit surprised that my medium/regular sized cup is a bit smaller than those of other cafes. My matcha was good, not sure what hubby thought about his, he didn't say anything and he usually does if it did not meet his expectations so I take it a good thing lol There’s also a small selection of pastries, sammies and salad. They look yum but we didn’t get any, too early for breakfast for us. Nice warm ambiance, service was ok. Parking was not that hard as it was early morning, it gets busy in Gray Street later in the day so parking can get difficult.
A super creative touch: they can serve coffee in a corn cup lined with vanilla or chocolate flavouring. You drink the coffee, then eat the cup! How cool is that?! Best seats: Definitely by the window !!!perfect for enjoying the view while sipping your coffee.
We came to this café today for a special Mother’s Day brunch with my wife and son, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. All the meals we ordered were absolutely delicious. I took a bit of a gamble with the butter chicken pasta (not your everyday combo!), but it completely exceeded my expectations—rich, flavourful, and beautifully balanced. What truly made our experience memorable was the lovely waitress who surprised my wife with a complimentary cupcake and a Mother’s Day card. Such a thoughtful and kind gesture—it really made the day feel special. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the amazing service!
Delighted with my brunch experience at Coffee Since Yesterday! The CSY Vege Breakfast and Eggs Florentine were absolute standouts, Polenta Chips and the Grilled Ham Steak Scotch Eggs were a delightful surprise. The coffee was top-notch, and the variety of options on the menu was impressive. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious morning coffee and meal. i will definitely come back and try more.
Coffees were good. Advised 20 minutes wait for food which we were fine with. Food was delivered to table, the pancake was raw/doughy in the middle and the candy floss was hard as concrete. The big thick bacon slice wasn’t the greatest either. The steak sandwich was drowning in aIoli and sauce it left a massive puddle on the plate with half the lettuce sliding out too. Chips were good. Will get coffees again but not likely to eat here.
I recently visited a coffee shop and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and soft lighting. Great spot to get a good coffee. Nice vibe here, and good seating options along the window if your popping in just yourself. Always a busy spot, but always a seat! Nice cabinet slices, muffins and wraps.
Friendly staff, Strong coffee & amazing food. If you come here try the boysenberry Danish & you can thank me later. You better believe that I will be back.
Had an interesting experience at this cafe. Living up to their name, our coffees tasted like they in fact had been there since yesterday. The food is quite overpriced - we got the 5 side big breakfast in the photo for $28. Not really sure why they are called "sides" when the sides are all you get on the plate. We were given an incorrect side and then were charged extra for the correct one, which was then waived on explaining the order had been taken incorrectly. No apology and staff were quick to blame another staff member in training. Service was quite slow (we saw a couple leaving as we entered as noone had come to take their order) and staff seemed really unhappy to be there. Felt some tension between kitchen and wait staff too which radiated through to customers. We were only given 2 cutlery sets for 4 people, and then when asking for more were rudely responded to as if we had disturbed them. Definitely won't be heading back here any time soon !
