There is a better chicken in Huntly than KFC. And it can he found at the Huntly Golden Bakery & Cafe! I purchased two packs of double chicken thighs and chips and got the very best in beautifully cooked chicken, and hot crispy golden chips! Do not pass this meal up if you can help it!!
Stopped by to get a snack to eat whilst driving. I think they were closing at the time but were more than happy to accommodate me. Got a mocha and a chicken bap. They were very friendly and very happy to serve me. Nice people. Food was fresh. I recommend this place.
I hit this Bakery frequently. Chips are always hot, absolutely love their Mince and Cheese pies and their Sausage Rolls are literally the best I've ever had. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable compared to Hamilton. We always stop in when heading up to Auckland. Highly recommended!!!
The food here is really good but the portions have now gotten smaller & the prices keep rising.
Hands down the best sausage roll out best time to come for fresh ones is early in the morning or around 12-1PM for fresh out of the oven sausage rolls you won’t be disappointed nice and fluffy pastry soft with beautiful soft sausage meat with yummy soft onions it has a nice mean taste not like those hard crusty dry ones . This sausage roll is ON POINT
Dissapointed.said with the butter chicken pie as I was eating it I came across two bones that I almost choked myself and they were not very supported they took bones out of wrapper from bin to show me that where is bone after the table had witnessed bones in wrapper when I spat it out had to buy a can of coke to wash down the pie grrrr Honestly is best policy owners
God tier bakery top 10 in new zealand maybe even top 5, they make amazing pies and pasteries and fresh chips ive even heard people down south talk about "...the red bakery in huntly" even my auntie from taupo drives up once a year atleast to buy a sausage roll and cake
This place makes mean pies with a good meat portion to filling ratio. Also the cheese in the pies; if you get them with cheese, are on of the better tasting cheeses. They also make hot and fresh chips to order and really great custard pies. If you come at the right time you can buy a box of pies or sweet pastries. This bakery is better than any of the ones I have had in Auckland, hands down. Recommended to anyone craving a mean pie.
