I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at this bakery, I felt compelled to. I truly appreciate the level of care this place puts not only into their food but also into their relationships with customers. I want to give a huge thank you to the young woman with the piercings who helped me during my visit. Because of dietary restrictions, I need to be very careful with what I eat, and being my first time there, I felt flustered and overwhelmed by the selection. She was clearly busy, yet she stopped without hesitation, greeted me with a smile, and kindly walked me through the ingredients of different items so I could make the right choice. I ended up going with the date scone and chicken wrap—both of which I highly recommend! Northend has definitely become my new go-to spot for lunch.
My husband used to shop here everyday when he was working, but they have really lowered thier standards of late. And the service, I'm not usually one to complain but waiting for a lady to get off her cellphone then apologise for the wait no thank you. Food quality and service levels have dropped which is sad as my husband and I always recommended this place till now. We know food is getting expensive but please don't keep lowering your quality for profit.
To be honest I use to love this place. Buy its since changed hands and appears to have let its self go. Staff are rude and food is just not what it use to be in my opinion.
One of the few bakeries in Hamilton that makes a steak and kidney pie, although after the one I just had id hesitate to say that north end does, just depressing honestly. Oat caramel slice was crazy good though
One of the best pepper steak pies I have ever had!
We grabbed a mince and cheese pie and a mince pie and they were the nicest pies we have had in a long time. Pies are a very rare treat for us, but damn I want to go back for another one! The cranberry slice/cake was delicious as well.

This is the best bakery in Hamilton. The food is always fresh and very tasty. Their fish rolls are to die for!!! I don't know what tartare sauce they use but it just simply the best. Try one yourself and you will see what I mean. You won't be disappointed!
