Booked the private function room upstairs at wayward pigeon for my sister in-laws 21st. Communication with organising the event was so easy regardless of me living in Australia. Such a stunning place with amazing staff and delicious food. Thank use so much for having us. Will be back for sure
Had a wonderful dining experience at The Wayward Pigeon. Tried the lamb cutlets and pork belly, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The lamb cutlets were tender, flavourful, and cooked perfectly, while the pork belly was rich, crispy on the outside, and melt-in-your-mouth inside. Beautifully presented dishes and a great overall experience. Definitely a place worth visiting again.
Drove 1.5 hours to go. Service was wonderful. Food great. Dessert was a shared dessert for two but could feed 4 easily. The show when dessert came to table was amazing. Worth the 3 hour round trip. Liked how restaurant and bar were separated.
We live near the Wayward Pigeon and are regular customers. Today we visited and ordered a garlic loaf, two Steak and Fries, and a chowder. The garlic loaf and the chowder, which we always enjoy, were absolutely tasty as usual. However, one of the Steak and Fries was far too chewy to eat. I cut the steak into around 10 pieces, but had to spit out 7 of them as they were too tough to chew. I was a little bit disappointed today.
Fabulous service, so friendly. We were asked if we would like to order in a reasonable time. The pork schnitzel and mash (only potato) was amazing. Creamy coleslaw also very tasty. Portions extremely generous and we accepted their kind offer of a 'takeaway box' for what we were not able to eat. Can't wait to visit again.
A lovely location for a night out for a family gathering. We appreciated the staff finding space for us late in the piece. However the place needs a work flow overhaul. There were plenty of staff but not enough direction. Our drinks took around 50 minutes to come after the server took the order, and we had to go and ask for a progress update during that time. One of us meanwhile ordered and consumed several drinks from the bar whilst the group order sat with others neglected to the side. The dinners followed shortly after that and the food was good. However we had to clean a thick layer of dust off one of the steak knives, and the others knives had a lighter coating of the same. Staff then failed to bring out the dessert for the child’s meal and had to be promoted twice. We could have raised each of these points with a manager I guess but it wasn’t clear their was much point as by prompting staff at multiple points it should have been obvious there was an issue. Anyhow at least the food and general atmosphere was good; the place could just do with some direction.
We’ve had the pleasure of eating at The Wayward Pigeon twice now and have had an excellent experience both times. Friendly and courteous staff who are attentive, lovely atmosphere and phenomenal food - the prawn starter and scotch fillet are our favourites! Will be back again.
We had a lovely dinner and was served by Georgia, she was a super hospitable and friendly! Food was pretty tasty although would have been nicer with some more sesame seeds or shallots or something :) thanks was really good service from the wait staff!
I really like this place. We had a good time last Thursday. This bar-restaurant is perfect for family dinner or birthday celebration. But better to book a table in advance. The sticky rice bowl with salmon is strongly recommended! The cheesecake is amazing too. The staff are so nice and kind to talk to.Will come back soon! Thanks!
Recently celebrated a family get together for a birthday. Well organised and venue set up for the occassion. The bar lady was the great and the service was awesome, food was the best. We had 4 courses of delight. Would visit and eat there again no worries.
