We used to love coming here but our experience last night has put us off. I think they must have a new chef. Everything was overcooked including our steak and the salad was limp. Speaking of the steak (which didn't come medium rare) it was half the size we used to get. On a positive, the new waitress was super friendly.
We had early lunch of fish and chips. Serving size was big and food was well cooled. Decor is good, toilets are clean aswell. There is ample parking. Make sure that you take correct exit if you are coming from Auckland side.
Had 3 pizzas. Quality average. Dough a bit soft. Would expect it to be more crispy. No service -all is to order at the bar. Lots of parking spots right in front of the restaurant.
Good tasting food , very decent portions , decent value for money.
Best prawn pizza, lamb shanks, n burgers ! Drinks, added bonus.
This was my first time here. I thought i will try something little before i bought my family over for dinner. So thus i bought salt and pepper squids and fries. Gosh the fish was yuck. Out of a packet and fried. I could do this at home. Sorry but i wont be going here again.
It's a smoke free place but as soon as you walk in you get hit in the face with a very strong smell of smoke. The tables were sticky as even the counter where U pay was wet and sticky and the toilets were disgusting. Service was barely ok. The bar staff were drinking behind the counter and didn't look like they were doing anything at all. Pretty disgusting I don't recommend it at all. Also smoke free signs are everywhere but still smoking anyway.
