   I have tried a couple of the barbershops in the CBD over the past few years, but the idea of booking a 30 minute appointment for a "number two around the sides and back, and cut short on top" seemed a bit excessive. However, the standards have slipped at my regular hairdresser lately, so I booked an appointment with Eru on a Sunday morning. This is the first time in years that I have actually enjoyed getting a haircut. Being a rather short person, I normally have difficulty sitting in the seats when I'm getting a haircut. But the first thing that I noticed was that Frankie and Son have the most comfortable seats. Eru then spent the next 30 minutes giving me the perfect haircut! At no stage did I feel like that he was filling in time or just trying to extend it out. This has been the most relaxing haircut I have ever had.

   The team at Frankie and Son are awesome, really professional, creative, great sense of humour and a really great experience all round. Totally recommend Sam, who gives amazing cuts, great chats and makes you feel super comfortable. The shop is modern, great music and has a cool vibe. Totally recommend to anyone who wants a new look and wants to look better!

   I walked into here after a long tramping trip, needing a haircut and beard trim. I met Frazier, who attended to me with honesty, professionalism and a huge pride in what he does. I felt I was in good hands from the beginning. I’ve got pretty curly hair so I’m not always the easiest to cut for, but he did a great job! Big respect, and thanks again Frazier.

   I have been following Stu since he opened Frankie and Son and I would not go anywhere else for a fresh cut. Stu is hands down the best Barber I have ever been to. His attention to detail and cuts are top shelf!! I have also had cuts from Kaleb and Sammy and they are both excellent. The shop has a great feel and you always feel the Manaakitanga when you walk in. The culture in the team is such a positive vibe and there is always good energy and great chat!! They even go above and beyond. For my brothers wedding Stu had the shop set up just for us which I recommend if its coming up to the big day. Next time you are in town make sure you book in with Stu and his team to have you looking and feeling great.
