Unfortunately despite Robyn being absolutely lovely, I left with damaged and grey hair after a head of foils! I'm naturally a warm golden blonde and she tried to ash my colour and it ended up silver and overtoned. She tried to correct it by going for it with the blow dryer which damaged the hair further. The bleach underneath wasn't properly washed out and burned my neck and also continued to cure overnight. I had to go to another salon the next day and pay to have it fixed as best they could with the time they had (clarifying wash and corrective warm toner). All in all a very expensive and upsetting exercise. My fiance said I came home looking like an old lady. The other salons words were "botched". This was after they asked me if I was naturally that grey! Um, NO! I'm still having trouble with knotting and breakage at the back and have had to buy a bunch of treatments to try and restore the condition of my hair. I did mention it to her at the time because I knew it looked wrong but she had another client waiting and argued it was just the lighting in the salon and it was fine. Therefore I didn't feel it worthwhile trying to come back to have her try fix it.
Almost the hardest part of leaving London was finding a replacement for my wonderful Mayfair based hairdresser... when I found Robyn I was absolutely thrilled. She is every bit as good and in Rangiora! Strongly recommend.
Love my colour! Every inch of the experience is amazing. Experienced team who connect and understand your needs. A bonus is the stunning environment, hot drinks and conversation. If you haven’t been to Chrome - you must !

Have been a regular at chrome hair for the last 6years & wouldn’t go anywhere else! Fantastic friendly team, great service, great range of hair care products & advice. Even my kids love their hair cut appointments with the chrome team.
Robyn is the consummate owner professional. Spends a lot of time in the planning of the colour and style and always takes time to review it at subsequent appointments. The salon is spacious , light , clean and quiet. Its always a great experience and the other stylists are all very friendly and welcoming (:
