Great customer service. Placed an online click and collect order and order was ready for pick up within minutes and collected shortly after as I was in the area. Given how busy the store is for Black Friday this customer service was above and beyond what I was expecting.
Purchased a game a couple months ago and gave it to my son for his birthday couple days ago just to be disappointed by missing items in the brand new box... I didn't think I would've had to be weary about it as it is brand new so I did not keep the receipt handy but apparentlyyou cant return it after 14 days anyway.. I don't live in christchurch either which is more frustrating.
They've got a good variety of stock to choose from but their prices are far too high. Was not impressed that my daughter bought a toy (supposedly at 20% off) and then went next door to find the same toy at $10 cheaper. Even though the purchase had been made 5 mins ago, they would not refund her. Ya basically ripped off a 6 yr olds birthday money. The staff were friendly enough but if they had the right idea for customer service, they would of found a way to refund her or at least price match the item (which they would not do either)
The team here support the local LEGO group, if you're after LEGO, look no further. On multiple occasions I have contacted them to express interest in yet to be released sets. They have taken down my contact details, set the item aside when stock came in, then called me back to let me know it's ready. Kudos to whatever system to they're using to keep track of these requests, as sometimes the products haven't reached NZ until months after my initial contact. To top it all off they even ensure you get your desired minifig in the blind bags. The prices can be a little higher than the likes of Kmart or The Warehouse, but it's worth it.
Great service but not as big of a toy selection compared to Tower Junction and Marshland or the closest location but it's still a great toy shop.
Relatable and knowledgeable. These young and fun Toy Specialists, effectively assist customers.
Super well stocked, impressive array of toys, games & whatever children like, want or ask for. Friedly staff, clean & tidy premises. Recommended toy retailer
I haven't been in a Toyword for twenty years but the Hornby store was super familiar. It was so sad to see striking decide between girls and boys. There was an adequate range of shopping but frankly libraries these days are far more inspirational.
