Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The new staff came across as arrogant and showed zero product knowledge. Basic questions couldn’t be answered, and instead of being helpful, the attitude felt dismissive. Customer service has clearly declined, and it made the visit unpleasant.

This is a hidden gem for authentic Indian ingredients and is well-stocked with spices, herbs, and pantry supplies. Friendly, helpful staff make shopping easy. With quality products at reasonable prices, it’s a must-visit for Indian cooking enthusiasts like myself.

This is just for the opening hours. Everything else with the shop from customer service to product is very good. Visited 3 times today as was in the area and the shop is closed. Not the first time it has happened. However, previously it had been half hour delay and stuff but this photo has been taken at 11.22am and it’s still closed. Please update hours on google.

Well I’ve been frequenting this lovely little shop and feel fortunate to be able to get such things in walking distance. The lady is always friendly and helpful. I had the best roti here after trying several other places. It has all the spices and rice to make a homemade biryani. Fresh chillies and murku. I did cheat tonight and also bought some off the shelf dal makhani, perfect with the roti. All round lovely shop to have in the neighborhood.

As Indian cuisine is one of my husband’s favourite cuisines, I went to Apna Spice Grocery Store at Ormiston for the first time on 21/9/2023. I bought a few items, namely Samosa, Paratha, Biryani rice and instant curry packet. My husband loves all the food products that I bought from this shop and always wants me to visit the shop again. The lady staff whom I think is the owner was very friendly and helpful. She gave me some advice about which curry powder was the best for cooking. There are plenty of parking lots near the shop so you need not worry about parking. We highly recommend you to go to Apna Spice Grocery Shop at Ormiston if you live in Ormiston or East Auckland or if you happen to drive past there.

This place should be closed down. The vegetables in their store look so old and the fact that they’re so pricey. Bought coriander and cauli flower from here and the biggest mistake I made. They were so rotten. Will be getting in touch with the council about this. This is the second time this has happened.

One of the best Indian authentic grocery stores I've been to in Auckland! Will be returning for sure. Parking can be a little tricky but we were told they are working on that. Can always park in the mall if not afraid to walk a little.

Been to the store twice so far, loved how every single item has price tag on it unlike other stores 70% of the items has no price tag and you only find out once u take the item to the counter. Nice & Tidy store.
