The best SA shop I have gone to in NZ so far love the biltong and drywors and that hand made boerewors is out of this world ave any product I need from home and get to have a lovely conversation in my home language gr8 place
OSSEWA BILTONG IS AMAZING!! I travel about an hour from the shore to Takanini for the Red wine and garlic biltong. If your like me and prefer wet over the drier stuff, they always have a few fresh bars under the counter if you just ask.
If you love biltong but don’t feel like anything too savoury or spicy, the Apricot Chutney biltong is absolutely the best. A little bit of sweetness and just melts in your mouth!
Tried biltong for the first time & loved it! Highly recommend the Six Gun Grill or Red Wine & Garlic flavors. Friendly staff and excellent service!
We are so blessed to have found a South African shop in our home town, not only is it a South African shop, it also have the best owners that always makes us feel welcomed!!!! They have the best Six Gun Biltong!!!
Ossewa is such a gorgeous store in Takanini . They have such a wide range of African spices and sauces. Perfect store for barbecues. They had stock a huge range of biltong. Highly recommend for sure !
We just found this place accidentally but it is one of the best SA shop we have been in NZ. Their biltong and their droë wors is really tasty and you will definitely want to come back for more. The young lady who runs the place is very accomodating and friendly. She even offered if we want to taste biltong and droë wors before we buy. I will recommend this place. It is amazing.
Hubby stopped here on our way back down South and bought me 3 bags for a really great price. Apricot flavor, Red wine and Garlic, and original... my god, basically ate 80 percent of the 3 bags on my way home. Very very excellent Biltong by a lovely South African woman. Will definitely stop in next time we are in Auckland!
