An amazing kindergarten with the best teachers. Our 3 year old has thrived since starting Pohutukawa. Highly recommend.

I wholeheartedly recommend Pohutukawa to any family. Our son has been attending joyfully since he was 2, and he loves his kaiako and friends. Mel, Sarah and the team are our village—an extension of family & home. We love the care and education, genuinely child-lead approach, and sensitivity to each kids own journey. Not to mention the gorgeous, airy, light-filled space! So grateful to have somewhere I know our kid feels this great sense of belonging so young. Hard to believe there are still spaces at this absolute gem of a centre!
An incredible Kindergarten with the most loving, thoughtful experienced teachers who go above and beyond. My daughter races up the ramp every morning excited for her day. The facilities and resources the teachers plan everyday are amazing! Our family loves the Pohutukawa Community!!
My 2yo boy has just started here and all the teachers in the centre are very caring and supportive throughout the whole transition process. It is a small private centre where all the children are cared for and respected, the teachers are sensitive about meeting the individual needs. There are plenty of fun events happening all the time. Cannot be any happier! ------------ Updating my review 10 months later - My boy LOVES his kindy, every Sunday he asks if he can go so we had to increase from 3 day enrollment to 4 days. I have full trust in all the teachers so Huge thanks to Sarah, Amy, Emi & Mel again for creating this fun & loving environment for the kids.
I love this Kindy, my little boy is so cared for here that I don't need to worry about him at all. Everyone is so lovely and the kids have lots of things to do.. Would recommend to anyone.
