the food and price are acceptable, but the management needs to be improved, I am regular over here and spent average higher than others, but itis really disappointed about manager service one night after 6pm, as we bought two coconuts for my son and daughter, my children told me one was out of liquid inside, one is damaged, so I keep and bring the receipt when I shopping next time with my husband and my children, when I was checkout the person over there told me why I did not bring the coconuts here(the time has passed around 2 weeks and summer time), and at the beginning been told one lady in charge here, then said there is not manager here, the end I still give them one more opportunity to sort the problem out after I paid my purchase this time, and lastly ask my contact number when I asked them again and how to deal with it, total 3 chances for them, at the end, I am so angry, not angry to spend $8 on coconuts, is about service here.
I shopped this Sunday around 5pm, the staff at counter so impolite, she said in Mandarin of how much but I don't generally communicating in Mandarin though I am Chinese and she so impatiently shouted loudly again in Mandarin. I remember it was the last counter near the corner. This was the second time bad incident from this shop'Counters. I think the manager should look into the staff'attitude and explain to them they are just the door persons and should brush up with their English, just speaking Chinese is no use in Western countries. By the way, just want to share that the Tai Ping in Meadowlands is much better, the staff there are polite and value customer. This means the Manager in this shop is professional in training the staff
It's good to find asian crusine but find it hard when most items are in asian and not too sure of contents. Huge variety of exotic drinks and different styles of instant noodles. But love the selection of sauces and food items to make an authentic dishes.
I have also encountered an old man selling fish in this supermarket, with a very poor attitude and low quality. How could such a person provide service? The tone of speech is very vulgar and I don't want to go anymore
Had the worst experience, came to shop this evening after work, I didn't know I parked in the staff parking, it's dark at night there was nothing blocking the entrance so I drove in , there's a lady came out ask if I park there I said yes then I walk towards the supermarket, then she start yelling at me, said can't you read its staff parking move your car. It's dark at night there a faded marking on the ground I don't even notice until she pointed out... so rude, I'm a customer I'm here to spent not for you to yelled at me . I ask for her name for complain she refused and said 'I'm the manager' never going back to this junk place. Shop are also so dirty, only going there cause just on the way home, there is so many new asian supermarket close by now with much better environment and service.
Been visiting occasionally since small, I think there was lots of changed but the main core of the supermarket remains. Items are at good price. around the same as other supermarkets, but they have a variety of asian consumables that you can’t find at other supermarkets.
I've been coming here for years but the man at the roast meats place needs an attitude check. Asked him for roast duck and pork on rice but he refused to serve me duck. I pointed to the half duck laying there and asked him about it if he didn't want to chop up a whole duck but he shouted at me saying NO! I can clearly see that he does not want any business. It's sad that this person is tarnishing Taiping's reputation.
Nice store, not huge selection, has a fresh fish section fresh vegetables and fruit. But the fresh roast meat section of roast duck, soy sauce chicken, roast pork,roast red pork and pork ribs was piping hot and glistening . Take away meals from $16, meat and rice Look fwd to eating again
Good variety of Asian groceries and cheap fruit and veges. This is also a good source of the more exotic Asian ingredients that you cannot find in the International aisle of your local supermarket. There is also a fish and butchery section here if you are wanting fresh meats and a mini restaurant that sells roasted meat meals if you're hankering for an Asian lunch.
