Onemata at the Park Hyatt is an absolute must-visit during any Auckland stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff operated as a well-oiled machine—attentive, professional, and never missing a beat. Our waiter, Max, clearly answered all our questions about their extensive menu and helped guide us through our cocktail decisions with expert recommendations. We started with their Wok Fried Squid, which arrived perfectly crispy with a delicate char that didn't overpower the tender seafood inside. For our mains, we chose the Coastal Lamb Rump, cooked to a beautiful medium-rare with rich, earthy flavors; the Fish Crudo, refreshingly light with clean, bright notes; and the Asparagus, prepared simply but impeccably. But the real showstopper? The Lamington dessert is absolutely non-negotiable. The combination of Chocolate Brûlée, Raspberry Confit, and Toasted Coconut Ice Cream is pure magic—a sophisticated take on an Australian classic that manages to be both comforting and elegant. After your amazing dinner, be sure to take a stroll through the Hyatt lobby. The magnificent attention to detail in every aspect of the property is the perfect end to an exceptional evening.

This is one of the few fine-dining restaurants in Auckland that I’ve visited many times, and the food is always on point. I’ve never had a dish here that wasn’t delicious. Most of the staff are friendly and professional. The food quality and service are consistently excellent. It’s my go-to spot for any celebration or simply when I want a nice meal.

Had my birthday dinner at Onemata and it was such a great experience! We were seated with beautiful waterfront views, and the host, wait staff and the whole team were so friendly and welcoming. We had the natural oysters — super fresh — and the duck liver pâté with focaccia which was delicious. The butcher’s cut of the day was a generous, perfectly cooked and tender piece of meat, paired perfectly with a lovely glass of red wine. They even surprised me with a cute (and yummy!) cake for my birthday. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful lunch at Onemata Restaurant. My mom ordered the Bibimbap, while I tried the beef noodle soup. Both dishes were delicious — creative fusion interpretations of classic Korean cuisine. The Bibimbap had a mild, balanced chili flavor, and the beef noodle soup was rich and deeply savory. The presentation was elegant, and every flavor felt thoughtful and refined. When we asked if there was a Korean chef behind the dishes, we were delighted to meet Chef Caroline Chung, whose warm personality and authentic touch made the experience feel even more genuine. A truly memorable dining experience overall!

Great services but very crowded and a bit too noisy. Not as comfortable as you’d expect from a restaurant inside Park Hyatt. The food was great but not very memorable. I thought the fish was a bit dull.

Beautiful gourmet dining experience. Every detail is taken care of - the interior design, light, music, great leather sofas and unparalleled views to the marina and the promenade. The menu is concise which is helpful as it is much easier to chose from. Great wine list with plenty of NZ wimes and whiskies to chose from. Great friendly service with a smile.

We had a girls night out dinner here and the food portions were pretty good in my opinion. I had the salmon dish and it was delicious! The environment and atmosphere is nice and the staff were helpful and polite. We loved our visit here.

Absolutely beautiful! Service is absolutely top notch, certainly the best I’ve enjoyed in Auckland. Guest names, coffee preference at breakfast are all remembered for subsequent mornings, the food at breakfast was fab. Dinner even better !! Those oysters…. WOW. The wine list…. WOW!!
