Fantastic experience in an understated, wabi-sabi kind of way. Jazz, skill, japanese no-fuss minimalism and quality, no bright lights, no hair care products upselling, no fluffy conversation about holiday plans and weather etc. My kind of place. Just brilliant. Reasonable prices ($80 for a 1-hr cut with all the nice little extras, shampoo/head-neck massage/blow dry), friendly atmosphere and talented hairdressers. I had Fuka and she was great. I had my first visit to Poco a Poco and was so impressed! Kotori gave me a fantastic haircut that was exactly what I asked for and needed. The entire staff were friendly and professional, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Considering the high quality of the service, I found the prices to be very reasonable. I highly recommend Poco a Poco and will definitely be returning! As a special side note, thank you so much, Kotori, for speaking Japanese with me. I really enjoyed our conversation. It made me realise how much I've missed my time in Japan and truly made the experience memorable.
My experience with Kumi was very good. She was attentive, knew what I wanted to try and explained what I needed to maintain the style...another words informed choice for me to make. I absolutely recommend that salon because I noticed all the staff there were very attentive and clients were happy when they left.
