   I shopped here around 1pm on May 8. The male staff who took my payment was extremely unfriendly. He did not greet me, mumbled the total so quietly that I could not hear it, and did not even say a word after the payment. Someone who clearly dislikes customer service shouldn’t be working in a customer-facing role. I also think he is probably the son of a friend of the owner or something like that. Otherwise, I can’t imagine any store hiring someone with that kind of attitude.

   Friendly, helpful, and courteous staff members. Their prices are quite reasonable. They have plenty of Japanese grocery items in stock, and the space look spacious. They also have a lot of Japanese rice, compared to their other branches or the nearby shops.

   Best Japanese supermarket location in Auckland, much larger than the store in THE cbd. Heaps of grocery goods from Japan and at affordable prices. New market store always seems to have more variety of Japanese goods compared to other Japan Mart stores in Auckland.
