I love their service. I’ve been served with Mariam for hair treatment or cutting for almost a year. She’s professional and compassionate. My hair health has improved a lot under her care. I feel really grateful.

I always get my hair done here and absolutely love it. Always a lovely vibe and love how my hair turns out every time! Mariam did my hair on Saturday and it was exactly what I asked for. Lovely to chat to and great at her job ☺️

My girlfriend and I went to this salon in April this year. I'm only now posting because I can finally express my distaste for this store accurately. We booked a same day appointment over the phone, I made sure to clarify that we needed a hairdresser who specialised in curly hair as my girlfriend has a 3A hair type. We've been working hard on de-stigmatising curly hair for her and embracing her natural hair, so a curly haircut was very important going into this. I should also add my girlfriend has studied hairdressing for a year and knows a lot about how her hair behaves and what styles can suit her hair type. When we got to the salon, we both sat down with our respective stylists for a consultation. My consult was quick and easy given my straight hair, and I was quickly taken to the basin for a wash. My girlfriend on the other hand had a different experience. The hairdresser asked what she wanted done that day, and my girlfriend said she wanted a curly hair cut, and gave reference photos. The hairdresser continued to say my girlfriends hair was NOT curly (her hair had ringlets and very obviously is) and that it was too short for a haircut even though her hair was down past her collarbone. My girlfriend had face framing layers as she used to straighten her hair a lot, the hairdresser pointed at the her hair and asked "Why does it look like this?" in an utterly rude manner. The hairdresser said that she wouldn't be able to do a haircut and could only do a trim, after which she could come back after 2 months. My girlfriend expressed that she didn't want to have a trim and that it wouldn't be possible to come back in a few months as we were moving overseas. The hairdresser continued to show my girlfriend a video of a hairbrush that could "fix" my girlfriend's hair, insisting on only doing a trim, making it out like my girlfriend didn't know anything about her own hair. My girlfriend rightfully refused and left the salon. I was unaware of this interaction until after. And it doesn't stop there. Separately with my own hairdresser, I had given a reference picture and clearly established what I wanted very clearly, saying I didn't want my bangs to be cut and that I wanted to keep as much length as possible while still having a shaggy look. The end result involved all of those requested being ignored. She cut my fringe halfway up my forehead, matched the top layers of my hair to that exact height around my head and took off too much weight - It looked like a bowl cut with a long rats tail around the base. NOT what I asked for at all. It's only NOW just grown to a length that it manageable and I feel comfortable wearing. Overall, use your discretion. I'm sure they're great with Karen cuts on straight hair. Not much else though.

Reliably great salon! I always look forward to my appointment every 8 weeks. I highly recommend requesting Mariam! She's a senior stylist with loads of experience who goes out of her way to continually upskill by attending hair courses that take her interest. I've seen her do incredible blonde transformations and she does the most incredible copper on me. She's clearly dedicated and super passionate about her work (and always so lovely to chat with!) so i'd really recommend requesting her :)

Genuinely can't express enough how talented and kind the entire team is. I love all of Rodney Wayne and regularly attend two stores. I had the most fabulous and knowledgeable Pheak, Ad and Christine work together on my hair which was severely chemical damaged and an interesting mix of colours. I am absolutely in love with the colour you achieved (close to my natural) whilst being able to add back in/preserve some of the colour dimensionality I had all but fried out. After a colour issue caused by myself going to another salon leading to a series of interesting next steps with my hair, the team at Newmarket did the most STUNNING restorative, nourishing colour correction for my hair and the beginning of my hair healing journey. The ease of a consultation, hair testing, excellent communication, amazing head massages etc 10/10. Thankyou so much I really appreciate ALL you have done for me. While the green front stripes were a fun moment I am loving my new brunette colour and look forward to the easy maintenance and healthier hair moving forward! Thankyou for the education, the gentle but direct honestly and the teamsmanship moving forward (which is what I have come to notice from all the RW branches I have had the privilege to attend).

I normally don't give bad reviews and am very fair. I have been visiting this place for the past 1 year once a month. Last visit i was very disappointed. The hair stylist Laura just did a very rushed job. Hair cut and hair color was done and dusted within 30 minutes. In between my hair cut halfway through she went to do "consulting" for 5-7 minutes with another client. So if I really calculate haircut and hair color was done in 23 minutes. The hair color was not done properly and when I pointed that out she said she doesn't have time to rectify it for me and pointed towards another lady who could do it for me. She was non apologetic and I just left in disgust. My question is if you charge top dollar for haircut and hair color why can't you do even an average job. She was probably too rushed to go to her next client and finished everything in 23-25 minutes. Will not visit this place. Total bad service and rip off.

Had the most amazing blow wave yesterday with Majid, you’re in for a treat if you book in. Great attention to detail and incredible customer service. Super relaxing head massage at the basin and I left with the best curls I’ve ever received from a stylist. Highly recommend.

Toned and beautiful. They mixed a tone for my daughter and it was amazing. They also got creative to achieve foils without the zebra look in my darker hair.
