I had asked for a good trim and showed the hairdressers with my fingers how much i wanted off, about 5cm. He cut off around 15cm. He also tried to tell me to change my part. He'd had me tilt my head forward to cut the back so I couldn't see what was happening until it was far too late to do anything about it. I can't tie my hair back or braid it now. It's completely impractical for what I need and it will take a year to grow back. I'm absolutely fuming that he felt he could give me a cut that I did not ask for, like I dont deserve to make my own choices on how I wear my hair.

I booked in at the St Luke branch who directed me to a stylist named Suresh. He was covering a shift at the Newmarket branch the day I was free so I happily booked in for that location instead. Boy oh boy am I so happy I did!!! Suresh asked me many questions along the way to make sure I ended up with the exact result I wanted. It definitely wasn’t a straightforward haircut and he checked in with me throughout every step of the way and we ended with a perfect colour and perfect style. I couldn’t have asked for better service and I am so impressed and happy with the result!
Whatever you do - please ask for Katie to do your hair. I had horrible orange streaky hair prior to coming in and Katie completely transformed my hair. It is now a beauriful whitw blonde with consistant colour. I have been to many different hairdressers in my life and Katie is definately superior to all of them. Not only was her work beyond what i could have imagined my hair would look like, she was so kind and professional. You could tell she really loves to make her clients look beautiful. I cant rave about Katie enough. Thank you so much!!!
I had my first haircut here last month because of the convenience. However I’ve booked my 2nd appointment for next month as I loved my experience. The lady who did my hair was very knowledgeable and caring. She didn’t recommend products that I won’t need which is always a big thing for me. I can’t wait for my next appointment!
I have been a loyal customer of Synergy Newmarket, especially when Katie and Amy (not there any longer) have done my hair. Today I had a blow wave booked and there was unexpected traffic delays so called to say that I was very near and would be late by 5 minutes at the least. I was informed not to come in as they couldn't fit me in now - in all the times that I have been there, I have arrived early or on time and had to wait 5 to 10 minutes which I have never minded. You have just lost my custom and goodwill.
I went to this salon on a short notice after a bad hair color I had experienced at another salon. Amy was amazing and was able to fix the hair color for me the way I wanted it. She was so friendly and accommodating to my need. Thanks so much Amy for your help. Edit: 17/02/2023: I went to this salon for the second time and did a hair color with Rochelle. She was amazing at her job and I ended up with having a nice caramel blond color from the red and dark color I first had.
