Really helpful, bought Japan Rail regional passes, they were very thorough making sure all the details were correct even spoke with them on the phone. You might save a couple of dollars by buying on internet from a major booking company but if you have to contact them good luck with that. So you speak with someone that's actually in NZ
The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional BUT I expected the staff to be a bit better versed in English - after all, it is Japan Railway's Auckland agency, else I would have been then 5 stars. The other thing, nothing to do with the JTB itself but more to do with JR Pass. It's beyond belief that one gets a paper ticket that has to go thru ticket machines numerous times, yet if anything happens to that ticket (worth hundreds of dollars) there is no refund/replacement/recourse. One gets so nervous every time when feeding it thru the ticket machine. One would expect a high tech country like Japan would have better way.
