As a new settler in New Zealand, the best decision we've ever made for our 1-year old son is to enroll him at BestStart Mount Eden. The teachers and staffs are exceptionally professional, corteous and kind, handle the children very well, tell you how the day went, and are very transparent. Such an awesome day care, the best indeed!

BestStart Mt Eden consistently delight me with the kind, nurturing and enriching environment Ludi and her team create for the children in their care across both Pipi and Paua. Both my children have attended both Pipi (under 2's) and Paua (Over 2's) and my little one is still at Paua. The team work really hard to create a safe and fun environment that inspires curiosity and offers plenty of stimulus for creative young minds. Can't speak more highly of Ludi and her team - they're straight up awesome.
We have two children at BestStart Mt Eden and couldn't be happier with the experience we've had. The staff are incredible - caring, compassionate, professional and responsive to the individual needs of the children in their care. Both of our children started in Pipi, the under-2s area, and our oldest is now in Paua, for the over-2s. Both areas have wonderful play spaces, great learning and play resources, space to explore and be curious, and quieter areas for learning and reflection. The wonderful kaiako have shown great care towards our children. We've seen huge growth in their vocabulary, social interactions and resilience. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
My son has been going here since he was 4 months old. He has loved every minute and the staff have made me feel confident and safe in knowledge that he was taken care of. Throughout my first year of him being at day care I felt many feeling of anxiety and worry and everytime I went to drop him off or pick him up; the staff reassured me - he wouldn't be the intelligent, confident, social kid he is today without his time at this day care and the staff involved! Couldn't rate it higher.
Reading to previous reviews here - the only bad one perplexes me. The team at Best Start Mt Eden are competent and caring teachers. They provide a safe and fun environment for children where they can climb, explore and play with resources that are open ended. Like most parents at the centre, I have had both my kids through the young kids area Pipi and now down in the big kids room Paua. Every time an older sibling comes in, at pick up or drop off, the teachers remember them and engage in interested chat with their alumni.
Best Start meets all of our expectations.The teachers are experienced, communicative, and compassionate. The centre provides a clean and safe environment with lots of activities for the kids to enjoy. We love Best Start Mt Eden!
