   We were extremely lucky to have not one, but two kitchens designed by Marianne. The first kitchen was designed and built over 15 years ago and has stood the test of time. The look is still modern, and everything still works perfectly due to the quality materials used. Looking back, there was not one thing we would have wanted done differently. We were grateful to have a second holiday home kitchen designed by her just this year. Again, all her design and product suggestions were superb, and the kitchen is now a joy to work in. Marianne is a master of her craft with an eye for function and form. She has extensive knowledge and experience of products, materials and design layout. She listens to her customers’ needs and is flexible in her approach. I can recommend her to anyone looking for a highly functional, beautifully designed kitchen of great quality.

   When we decided to update our original 70’s kitchen and laundry we had no idea where to start. However, after meeting Marianne Gailer at Kitchens by Design, we were reassured by her professional approach and product knowledge and so engaged Kitchen by Design to design and manage our project. We were supported throughout the project which was managed from start to finish by Marianne who liaised with Craig at Kitchen Link for the cabinetry and Paul Troake for the associated building work. The end result is amazing - we love the quality finish and how well the design works for us. Marianne has been attentive to every detail and endlessly patient with our lengthy decision-making, and she has our warmest recommendation.

   To give context - I wanted a dream custom kitchen and I have very good attention to detail (meaning I'm fussy), so my kitchen was never going to be cheap and a lot of effort went into the design. I chose Kitchen Work Space as the cabinetmaker (recommended by my designer at Kitchen by Designs; and also known as just "Work Space" but difficult to find online, hence the review here). Simply - they are amazing. Perfectionists, treated the kitchen like the piece of art that it is, easy to contact, great to work with, responsive. They cared about my kitchen just as much as I did and didn't shoo me away when I hovered over them during the install. They were proud of their work and I appreciated them pointing out the small details to me. I highly recommend them if you're looking for something special. The kitchen was designed by Sue Gilbanks, who also recommended the colour scheme (photos unfortunately have an unusual filter and don't show the grey/white contrast nor the variations in the countertop).

   Our new kitchen looks amazing. Marianne from Kitchen by Design did an amazing job. We had a clear view of what we wanted and Marianne listened to our input and the final design was better than we had hoped for. Marianna always replied instantly to our questions and the whole process was smooth as can be, even during the unsure times of lockdowns. The quality is top notch and as a result we now have a new favorite room of our house.

   We had a fantastic experience with Kitchens by Design; Marianne was a great listener which meant we got exactly the kitchen we wanted - but better. She made sure to stick to the budget and provide us with options and recommendations how to save money. We felt extremely well looked after and the kitchen suppliers did a fantastic job installing the kitchen in a timely manner, paying excellent attention to detail and going out of their way to make sure that we ended up with a perfect, flawless space. I'd give Kitchens by design 10 out of 10!
