The moment we got to the self checkout my husband put the cart in the correct place but a staff member named Terry came up and moved it to where there was no place for the cart to go in. That was fine until we needed help into double-checking the price so we called her over and she began showing us attitude. If you can't help customers, then I don’t think that you’re right for this job.

Woolworths Papakura is a reliable local supermarket that serves the surrounding community well. It’s conveniently located near the town centre, making it an easy stop for both quick trips and larger weekly shops. The store has a practical layout, with wide aisles and a logical flow that makes it easy to find what you need without too much wandering around. While the building isn’t as new or flashy as some other locations, it’s clean and well-maintained, and the shelves are usually well-stocked. The fresh produce section is decent, with most fruits and vegetables looking fresh and rotated regularly. The meat section offers a fair range, though sometimes you might find better cuts or more variety at a butcher. The bakery and deli areas are serviceable, with standard offerings that get the job done, even if they don’t stand out. Where Woolworths Papakura really shines is in its range of grocery items—plenty of pantry staples, household goods, and a growing selection of international products that reflect the diversity of the local community. Customer service is generally friendly and helpful. The staff here seem to know their regulars and often greet shoppers with a smile or a casual chat. Self-checkout machines are usually in working order, and there’s enough staff around to step in if you run into issues. Security is present but not overbearing, and the overall vibe inside the store feels calm and welcoming. Pricing is fair and often competitive, especially if you keep an eye on the weekly specials. The app and in-store flyers help stretch your dollar a little further, and there are usually enough promotions going on to grab a few deals. Parking can be a bit limited during peak hours, but it’s manageable if you time it right. All in all, Woolworths Papakura is a dependable spot for your everyday grocery needs. It’s not flashy, but it’s efficient, friendly, and gets the basics right. It might not be paradise, but for the locals, it’s close enough.

One of the biggest supermarket in Papakura. It’s surrounded by various shops and restaurants. Always good to visit. The inside looks very fresh, clean and tidy. The layout is nice. You will find everything you need. Ample variety of fresh fruit and juice. The online shopping pickup area is great. The staff are generous and courteous. There is ample parking available. The entrance is from mIn great south road and the opposite road.

Security was smiling and pleasant as I walked into this Countdown. I waited at the deli for the staff member to complete what she was doing. Aware I was patiently waiting. I never rang the bell. She was very rude. Beware of this woman. She lets the rest of the staff down. Not a nice experience Countdown.! The young lady at the checkout was very pleasant.

every time i have gone here something has happened, be it people shoplifting or someone making a scene. staff are also pretty unfriendly, one of which tried to take my schoolbag off me a while ago for unknown reasons. don't even get me started on the queues either, it takes hours to make it to the checkout and there's only 2 checkout lanes open at most. overall, just go to new world instead.

Although this countdown has some great deals, every time I visit, there are people yelling and swearing at each other (the shoppers, not staff), and men will come and tap on my car window asking for money. I find it intimidating especially with small children. I'm happy to share my shopping with those that ask for something but It would be great if they could make shoppers feel safer when visiting.
