A huge thankyou to Nicky and the team at Island Grocer for the fabulous catering platters for our Waiheke Walking Festival round Island te Ara Hura walking group. Beautifully presented, covering a number of dietary requirements and every single thing was delicous. Not a crumb left. Thankyou.

Amazing little shop for fresh food, coffee and organic/fresh groceries. We had two sandwiches - the vegan monster (avo, veggies, pesto(?) sauce) and the falafel burger (falafel, tomato, pickles, cheese, mayo and another sauce). Both were absolutely delicious and perfect to sit on the beach with. The ladies serving were friendly and quick, despite how busy it was! The vegan monster was the only vegan option and we got the last one at around 1pm so just be aware if you’re vegan! Not sure if they refill the sandwiches or not once they’re gone. There were also vegan ice cream pots, and if there were no sandwiches there’s so many fresh fruits, veggies and bread that you could make a little picnic anyway!

Best cafe on the Motu. Food is INSANELY AMAZING ! The sandwiches are jam packed of goodness, filling and 100% worth every penny. Coffee is on point, and customer service guy always leaves you with a smile (you know who you are!) 10/10 recommend, painful to leave a good review as I don't want to miss out on my sandwiches but they deserve it.. ( I drive from the opposite side of the island for these sandwiches!) Lucky to have these guys on the island .

Her last words were, β€œThank you for being such an amazing human, darling.” She was the British barista at the coffee shop who made my chai tea and suggested one of the most lovely sandwiches I’ve ever had. We connected very quickly and she handled every one so wonderfully with her exuberant British charm and beautiful humor. She cared for every detail and she made every one feel like her friend. This was also my favorite place to shop for all my gluten free essentials. It made this little wonderful island for the rich and famous, even more beautiful than it is visually.

The cabinet food here is next level! All the sandwiches are made with soft, fluffy, fresh bread and jam packed with delicious fillings. Had some kind of vegan sausage & cheese filled ciabatta and it honestly tasted like a gourmet vegan cheeseburger. Like mouth-wateringly good. They also use supreme coffee, and it’s just as fantastic as you’d expect. Option to takeaway or sit outside on the picnic table, or there’s a few bar stools on the other side.

Fantastic extensive selection of of gourmet grocery lines and equally impressive delicatessen. Also a great spot for breakfast/lunch with mouth watering cabinet food. There is some bench seating outside. This was a real find for us on a recent holiday on Waiheke Island.

Had the Salami & Feta Pide sandwich which was so delicious. And my friend got the breakfast bun which was so yummy as well. Staff were super nice and friendly. Highly recommended this lovely store when you want to grab a nice sandwich.
