This is a magical place that leads you to the beaches ⛱️. It is a great walk down to Orewa township.
A beautiful spot at the northern end of Orewa Beach adjacent to the Orewa bridge, the camping grounds, the Estuary Arts Centre and Te Ara Tahuna. I love it here any time of the day but especially at sunrise. There is a seat to rest on and a path around the motor camp to the beach. There are clean public toilets across the road. Furthermore, there is another walking and cycling track heading west on the other side of the road.
Probably better known as Orewa Estuary Walkway and Cycleway this expanse of land borders a tidal estuary. Wide concrete pathways and well-maintained grounds, this reserve caters to walkers, riders, sports, dog walkers, baby walkers... young and old. I often come here to ride the 7.5km loop around the estuary and beyond...
Bug cliffs, ocean walks, watch the tides, if high not much walking room. Steep stairs. Gorgeous area.

Fabulous walkway along the Estuary, fantastic view, lots of cyclists and walkers.
It's got everything. Swimming area, wharf jump, skate bowl with 2 half pipes. Well paved scenic estuary walk. Boat launch ramp. Great for SUP launch too. Cafe, Art centre, Youth centre, Community hall, quick access to sandy beach. Petanque and Bowls clubs. Close to Caravan Park. Dog friendly and wide open grassy spaces and sheltered picnic spots.
Wanted to do walk from orewa estuary. Had no idea where I was going... Part of walk very clear , then got to millwater shops had no idea from there , asked some people , but I must of missed area I was meant to walk.. I ended up back on HB highway nearer silverdale than orewa ...So had extra kms back to my car..A walk that was 7.5 kms I did 9.8kms... Great walk , lovely day.. Will try again from other entry and hopefully get it right..
Great place to see some local NZ art or maybe a special exhibition. Cafe there and not far from the shop's and the beach
