My son started here when he was 2 and he loves it here! The office manager is incredible and Joan is the most amazing teacher! My son has ADHD and they have done so well with him. My son has always felt supported, loved and had lots of fun. Great daycare!
I only have great things to say about Active Explorers Ellerslie. The facility is always well maintained and the programme they have for the children are so thoughtfully curated. Their main asset however are the superb staff who look after my boy with so much passion and dedication. Special mention to Serena, and all the kaiakos in nursery 1 and 2 who make sure that the cares for my boy who have particular needs are followed thru. They all deserve an award for their unwavering patience, despite the complexities of working in an early childhood centre. You can really see the love they have for their work and all the children. Sending our son to this centre has been one of the best decisions we have made for him.
My child attends daycare here, and he is very happy. The teachers here are very kind, and there are excellent teaching facilities. They have good ratio, and he often learns new things. He really enjoys playing here.
Highly recommend Active Explorers in Ellerslie. My son has attended all the way from nursery and is currently in the preschool class. The education programme (fantastic fours) is outstanding. My 4 year old absolutely loves the place. Amazing staff/teachers. Healthy meals provided. They do a lunchbox day once a week in preschool to help them prepare for when they go to primary school. The facilities are excellent with lots of space and outside areas. They continue to keep everything well maintained.
The most caring, nurturing group of teachers, they really are amazing! Will be forever grateful for the love my daughter receives, she loves being an Active Explorer!! A fantastic thought out centre with ample outdoor space and heaps of daily creativity through sensory/messy play, which i love getting updates on throughout my working day! Made my transition back to work as easy as it could be. Fab management as well as healthy food and snacks.
Our whole family love Active Explorers Ellerslie. The team are so supportive and caring for our boys. The teachers are always happy, supportive, caring and welcoming. Communication is excellent both verbally and via Storypark, where you get a very interactive snapshot of the kids day and development over the years. The play areas are enticing and provide great challenges as the kids grow. When you walk in the door, you are often greeted with the wonderful smell of home cooking. The kids get to eat wholesome and freshly prepared meals that set them up for the rest of the day. Both kids love going which is a huge relief for us parents, the only challenge is to get them to come home at the end of the day, they love playing with all the toys, activities and the many good friends they have made while here.
Hands down the best daycare ever! So happy we found Active Explorers Ellerslie. The centre manager Maggie is extraordinary, her dedication to the role and the way she leads her team are what make this daycare so special. You can tell that the teachers all enjoy being there and that they really care about the kids. The centre is clean, well organised and provides a safe and nurturing environment for the little ones to learn and play. Highly recommend.
We visited a few daycares before making the decision. I am so glad that we choose the right one. Teachers here are amazing, they treat their jobs more than a job as they really care about the kids. The manager Maggie is so kind and always keen to listen the feedback from parents. My little one settled down within 2 weeks time and now she really enjoys being with her teachers and friends!
Our children have been attending Active Explorers Ellerslie since 2019 and we have been highly impressed with the quality of service and calibre of staffing. Maggie the centre manager is a huge asset, and she runs the centre with real precision. There is always enough staff for the child to teacher ratios and she is very good with keeping the operational systems running smoothly.
