   Withholds medication you've been on for years without a $70 consult. Prevents me access to something I need to maintain my health, and insists on me paying to talk about absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, other patients, who actually need to see a doctor, are denied because I've taken their slot. First do no harm. This doctor, does the opposite. This service also doesn't have any portal for accessing your own lab results. Had a transfer fee to register with them, but charged extra for appointments within the first few months after joining with them. Absolute worst doctors I've ever been to.

   Onewa Doctors is a great practice! Recommended to me by a friend ,I've been with the practice for over 10 years, finding them to provide excellent service across the board. Reception staff are very polite and patient with appointment requests endeavouring to find a time that suits me. They are friendly on arrival and wish me a good day on leaving. Nurse Vanjey is an absolute positive delight regardless of the age of the patient she is helping. Both Dr Anderson and Beltran have worked with me over the years. I really admire their depth of knowledge and appreciate their thoughtful and careful analysis, decision making, and follow up. The ongoing improvement evident in my recent blood results is testimony to their professional service. Thank you Onewa Doctors.

   I see people making negative comments to this practise. Most of people who aim to criticise a business who aims to only serve and help jeopardises other people's opportunity to access good medical care. Any GP practise works hard to do their job. The doctors trained many years to have the opportunity to help. If you all can do is bring unfounded negative comments on a medical center you ought to just look at yourself and think how perfect you are. Anger management is needed in most people who rant repeatedly using google reviews as their only ammunition. Do we see positive comments to job well done? Nope. I believe that no one can please everybody. People with so much time in their hands and has anger issues unfortunately have access to this weapon called google reviews. Before anyone criticises another medical center, please remember nz is a small country. Auckland is a small city. One way or another you will need medical help in the near future. I only wish for respect to the Doctors that do nothing but to try and help alleviate illness and suffering because of an illness. They did not train hard to attempt to hurt anyone or anyone. They are people trying to help and make a difference.

   Despite the terrible reviews about Onewa Doctors AND their unprofessional responses to these reviews, I tried to enroll here yesterday anyway. This clinic has the only female doctor available in the area and her online profile seemed knowledgeable in what I needed to see the GP for. It turns out this practice is nothing like any other, and not in a good way. On the outside, it looks tidy and professional, but when you look closer, something is not right. On arrival, neither of the two receptionists greeted me in a friendly manner, not a smile, not a "hello," just a blank stare. Enrollment forms are 4 pages long (back and front) that you are required to read and fill out (you will be asked to repeat some of your information twice on separate forms). On the very last page, after you've filled in all your information and some- they state the fees you will be charged for using their services. This part was constructed in a very rigid way with "interest on debt" policies.. but presented hidden fees not discussed on any of these forms. At the very bottom, it says "new patient, first visit (medical) fee applies" with no indication of what this fee is. This is not legal conduct! I asked the receptionists what this fee would be before signing. $150 for your first visit... that is crazy!!! I have attached evidence of these enrollment forms so that they cannot say I am a troll or lying. This place needs to be audited. It seems like these people have been getting away with dodgy practice for a long time. I ended up enrolling with Kowhai Clinic. They have a very friendly receptionist who greeted me as soon as I entered the door. She was super helpful and inquisitive about my situation. I only filled in one form to enroll there, with a fee of $19.50 for my first visit and for every visit thereafter.

   Stay away from this place, they will charge for a poor service. Receptionists are very slack and misleading, although I believe the practitioners are good people it’s not worth the hassle. Edit 05/09/24 : Instead of being asked why a one start review, I’ve been asked to leave and find a different doctor. They had the power to apologise and request a different opinion but they simply flushed it down the drain.

   Went to this practice for 40 years, used to be good. Now they are all about the money. I’m enrolled and still never pay less than $95. They say it’s cause it takes over 15minutes.

   So disappointed with how they are using Covid phone consultations to rip people off. I originally phoned just to get a renewel of my pill prescription, but instead of getting charged $30 for the prescription fee I get told I need to have a phone consultation, even though I feel absolutely fine. Then I get told to go get some blood work done in order to carry on with my prescription and make sure everything is fine. I then get a message saying I need to make an appointment to discuss my blood test results. Here i am thinking something is wrong, only to get informed in a 1 minute conversation that my blood is normal, i just have low iron. Which could've just been sent as a text message but instead i get charged for another phone consultation resulting in my total cost being $126 when all I wanted was a renewal of my pill prescription in the first place. Total rip off.

   I would like to thank Dr Anderson and her team for their friendliness, helpfulness and caring manner. Since registering white this practice I happy to say I am well on the road to happier, healthier me. Dr Anderson has dug deep into my health and made a few changes to meds and I am able to function as a normal human being, forever grateful for spending so much time listening to get a clear picture of what was going on , not to mention the evening calls to see how I was doing and share results with me. A truely caring , compassionate Dr who treats you as a human not revenue . Highly recommend this surgery Regards Sharon Chatterton

   Rang up try to make a booking for my toddler who got fever for the last two days. I know im not registered with them and I got so mad I forgot the name of that lady who was answered my phone. (Cheryl) well, she talks like a machine .... Don't even have any human emotions or compassion towards a mother who got a sick child. Keep saying No. Blocking me out of the door. She can just simply say:" you might be better off take your son to your registered doctor or go to the hospital or suggest something useful. No..... She just talks like a cool empty machine. Very disappointed and I will definitely not gonna transfer to you guys.

   this clinic has served me and my family way beyond call of duty. the reception staff are very helpful and friendly. the doctors have offered support far more than any doctors we have had in the past. i wish all GP clinics treat their patients this way. keep up the good work!
