   If you have any questions, it may not be the most welcoming place to purchase toys. However, it is an average store similar to any other Toyworld. The service provided by the lady manager could use some improvement, as there seems to be a lack of customer skills in this store.

   I need to warn others about the awful service and experience I have had with the Silverdale Toyworld branch. The middle aged lady who appears to be in charge is sour, rude and unhelpful. She needs to be replaced with a manager who wants to be there and is genuinely nice to deal with. I am not talking about the lovely part time lady with the long straight hair - her customer service and attitude with my son was lovely. It seems the main issues are with the owner (of both Toyworld Albany and Silverdale). She has real attitude and takes no responsibility for any problem in relation to goods she sells to you that are not fit for purpose. The owner will completely disregard any obligations she has within the consumer guarantees and rather than facing up to a problem that is with her store and her customer, she will wipe her hands clean of it by making you deal with her toy supplier, rather than offering a solution herself. I understand that business is tough for small retailers like this, however they still have a duty to meet the rights of consumers and do good business if they want to continue selling goods and with a potential to win repeat business. After 2 hours of arguing my rights and entitlements with this store, I walk away with the faulty product and my receipt and yet not a thing done about it. So I am left to make a formal complaint now via the tribunal and commerce commission. I will never buy from Toyworld Silverdale or Albany stores again. The treatment from this place is just disgusting and needs to be addressed! Hopefully once I’m through with this fight, they will learn that you can’t get away with dodging consumer law and meeting basic rights!

   Custom service was awful, got served by a dark hair middle aged lady in glasses, she was so rude and arrogant. :( The other two people at the counter were much better to deal with, but she seemed like the one in charge, puts me off coming to the store knowing how rude and condescending she is.
