   ID’ing and refusing service to non-intoxicated adults in their mid 30s looking to purchase premium bottles of wine on a Sunday evening seems at odds with providing hospitable and informed service in a community business that we often visit. Understand the need for checking IDs when confirmation is required to discern appropriate age, but this seems like policy for policy’s sake and a lack of critical thinking from staff that led to a disappointing customer service experience and the impression that we won’t be returning.

   As it me or has Glengarry become more mediocre in the past 10 years. No better than a half-rate supermarket selection. Not even close to a contemporary wine specialist. Worth avoiding.

   Loved the service as this great little store. If anyone is lucky enough to encounter James at the counter, please do ask any questions you may have. James has a hilarious outlook on things and may even been semi-telepathic.

   Staff are unfriendly to the point of rudeness. No offers of help (it must be hard when there are two staff members and only one customer). No smiles, minimal communication. Demanded my ID and were visibly upset when I was almost 30 instead of 17. I had to ask to add my Glengarry card. It felt like they were trying to get me out as fast as possible. Hopefully someone was just having a bad day.

   Excellent range of local and imported wines. Decent beer & cider selection. Slightly better than average range of spirits (e.g. they stock Amaro Montenegro but not Chartreuse).
