Tried to access shop via mall on Wednesday at 5.01pm, customer was also trying to exit. Security guard came over and yelled βCLOSED CLOSED CLOSED. The sign clearly stated open until 9.30pm. Took myself off to another supermkt. Yes I could have walked around to the carpark entrance. If your part of the mall and value your customers?

We've been shopping online and getting them delivered for a few years with New World Southmall. We had been doing this with Countdown for more than 10 years but their drivers were becoming quite rude as the years went by, my parents decided to stop shopping with them. Best decision made! Hayley is the best driver they've had and really enjoy their chats with her when making her deliveries. A great place to shop and great leadership! The supermarket had changed dramatically for the better. It's like night and day! Keep up the awesome work Liam, Brittany, et al. Malo lava! Jen

Arranged yesterday to hire a rug doctor from SouthMall New World. The Manager was pleasant and helpful. I was hiring the rug doctor overnight from 4pm to 9am tomorrow. I get there to pick up, no one told me I needed a Credit or Debit card. I was paying in cash. Eventually the manager sorted it, thank you Manager. I bring rug doctor home and read the instructions. It needs solution which no one said anything about. I ring Southmall NW again. "Aw yeah you have to buy the solution". How am I supposed to know that, read your mind. Escalated my complaint, "oh yeah, ya gotta buy stuff". So absolutely gobsmacked at the shonky CS. Saw they're hiring might just apply to show them the customer is King until he's proven not to be. Till then treat your customers with respect

I recently placed an order for Avalanche Cappuccino X 26 on Friday. On Saturday, I received a call from a staff member advising that the item was out of stock, even though it was still showing as available online. I completely understand that stock discrepancies can happen. However, on Saturday I noticed the product was showing as available again online, so I placed another order. Shortly after, I received a call from Alesha, the Online Manager, who again informed me the product was not in stock. During this call, I was told that since I ordered six packs, I should have called to check stock first before ordering. My concern here is that the website lists the purchase limit as 12βso naturally, I assumed that ordering six was well within reason and that availability online meant stock was actually present. While I understand that stock can run out, I was quite disappointed with the tone and manner in which this was communicated to me. It did not reflect good customer service. I believe feedback and training in this area could be beneficial, as customers should feel respected and valued even when issues occur I suggest recording to be listened to.when I said iam going to take this matter ahead she literally calmed her voice. I would appreciate it if this matter could be taken seriously so that future interactions with customers reflect a higher standard of service.

I only shop here because it is local and convenient. Parking is horrible in the southmall car park!! Old fashioned supermarket but it seems the owner is currently trying to make it look a bit better with new shelving etc. I also commend the owner for no longer stocking single cans/ bottles of alcohol. The staff here are always lovely and helpful, despite working in a supermarket like Southmall where there is probably more trouble than other supermarkets. However the past wee while I canβt help but notice the store seems to not be as well stocked and not have as many staff there especially in the seafood / deli area. The lady that looks after the bulk bins is lovely. I see people trashing that area and touching the bulk bin products ( yuck!) when she isnβt looking but she always tries her best to keep it nice and clean and I notice a Maori lady working really hard rushing around helping customers refilling the seafood and deli and doing her stuff at the back and never seems to have assistance and the other day I saw she got blasted by a customer as the customer moaned that they had to wait for her when she was helping another customer. Store staff do not deserve to be treated that way.

I usually shop at this new world only because itβs closer to where I live and I recently tried online shopping with them . I got food for the week including meat , now the chicken nibbles I ordered looked fine but when I went to pick it up to put into the freezer omg! The smell was horrible and this told me the chicken was off . I ended up emailing taufi about this and she kindly sent a reply saying sheβd refund me for that and send another lot of chicken nibbles . I had been sent the email saying the refund will happen but I hadnβt received fresh chicken nibbles as promised nor did I receive any following emails , there was just no more contact afterwards.

Hey the store is fine,its NW but,as a disabled man living in Sth Akl i would love to see the disabled parks enforced. That is the reason for 2 stars,i am tired of driving to the Takanini NW just to get a disabled park.

My shopping experience was absolutely terrifying. Security guards shadowed my every move, making me feel uneasy and scrutinized. To add to the nightmare, the parking situation was horrendous, resembling a chaotic traffic jam rather than a simple parking lot. Frustration grew as I circled endlessly, searching for a spot. How could such disarray occur in a place designed for convenience? The ordeal left me bewildered and vowing never to return, yearning for a smoother and more peaceful shopping outing in the future.

It's not so much new world itself. it's the mobility parking there. People think it's fine to park there without a mobility card, and the management dont seem to mind either. I have made many complaints, but nothing ever gets done.
