Awesome place to see really cool waves reflect and collide at high tide.
A great public space in the centre of Orewa. It is well used by the cafè crowd, picnickers and performing groups on certain occasions. Absolutely beachfront and just an easy walk to cafés, bars, restaurants + shops.
Bit messy after the storm, shells on the stairs ,had to move some of the rocks off the stairs to lessen the chance of people tripping on them. However a good spot usually to bring some coffee or light lunch to eat. Good to see it is quite often used for events.
Part of orewa beach. Had a ramp for wheelchairs and prams! Most other parts only offer stairs, so this is really helpful. If it's low tinder, this part connects to the part of the beach with the playground and further towards red beach. High tide makes these parts inaccessible from this entry/exit point though.
