   We are so grateful to the amazing teachers at Little Star. When my first child started, she didn’t speak a word of English and everything was new to her. Thanks to the teachers’ care and support, she grew in confidence and learned so much. During the primary school transition visits, she joined the class so naturally, reading, speaking, and writing with the other children, and even answering questions with excitement. I truly appreciate all the love and encouragement that helped her get ready for this next step.

   We couldn’t be happier with our experience at this Montessori kindergarten. From the moment we first visited, it was clear that this was more than just a school — it’s a nurturing, inspiring community where children are truly seen, heard, and respected. The Montessori approach here is beautifully implemented. The classrooms are calm, organized, and filled with rich, hands-on materials that encourage exploration and independent learning. It's amazing to see how the children are given the freedom to choose their activities while still developing a deep sense of responsibility and focus. The teachers are nothing short of exceptional. They are kind, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about child development. You can tell they genuinely care for each child and are committed to supporting their unique strengths and interests. Our child has grown not only academically, but also emotionally and socially — gaining confidence, independence, and a love of learning that we believe will last a lifetime. From regular updates and photos, we’ve always felt informed and included in our child’s journey. this Montessori kindergarten is a rare gem. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of this community.

   Little Star Montessori was the only place I felt comfortable with on visits. The teachers are absolutely amazing and so patient. They took the time to ease my son into the new environment and worked with him and his separation anxiety. He wasn’t able to put together sentences and after just a few weeks of attending he came home and started chatting away and showing his new skills picked up at little star. At the age of 2 he has shown interest in counting and reading and writing and Little Star has provided support in all his interests. I’m am so grateful for the incredible care from this facility and from all the wonderful teachers ! We are so happy with our choice and for picking Little Star !

   Visited Little Star Montessori last term with my daughter, who started there when she was just 2 years old and is now in Primary 3. It was absolutely amazing to be back, reconnect with the school, and see the teachers again. The visit brought back so many memories from the time both of my girls were at Little Star, cared for so warmly by the team. What made it even more special was remembering how the teachers also shared parenting advice with us—it helped so much when we were new parents. Little Star truly upholds the core principles of the Montessori method, creating an environment where children can thrive from their earliest years. Seeing the children today, so happy and engaged in their learning, was truly inspiring.

   I could not recommend Little Star Montessori enough. From my own experience having my daughter attending this preschool, I can say that the teachers are well trained in Montesorri teaching and are all very nice and warm to the children. They also put in the a lot of effort to with my daughter’s learning, helping her become an independent little person she is now, and especially helping her deal with her emotions. We get reports regularly regarding her behaviours, progress and learning at preschool and suggestions on what we can do at home to help our child get the best outcome.

   Our child was very lucky to be accepted into Little Star Montessori. The quality of preschools vary greatly in NZ, and having sent our child to different preschools before, we really appreciate the excellent quality of care and teaching by Ms Rachel, Ms Kim, Ms Magdalene, Ms Nathania and Ms Tatiana at Little Star. The teaching team has remained the same and the teachers show great teamwork to support one another to provide a very stable and safe environment for all the children. The school premise is also very well kept with high quality learning tools for the children. As parents, we feel very reassured that we are sending our child to a great place to learn, develop and socialise. We are also very happy to see our child thrive, enjoy school, develop self-care skills and independence. Even more amazing is the structured and advanced literacy and numeracy Montessori curriculum tailored to each child's progress. We simply cannot thank Ms Rachel and all the teachers enough for the safe, stable and conducive environment they provide in Little Star, and highly recommend this outstanding preschool.
