Very agreeable reception by the staff who were pleasant and friendly. Not a large range of food/beverage on offer though, and I expected to see some extra Mediterranean products (and bread!!) for sale.
Shame that, having picked up croissant and pain-au-chocolate at just gone opening time, they're not fresh. Nearly $10 and they're not fresh. Really poor, won't go back.
Lovely space, airy and plenty of room in the bakery. Clean bathrooms. The service from the gentleman today was polite but unfortunately, no smiles, warmth or hospitality. Hot chocolate was too sweet so couldnβt finish. My husband had a ham and cheese croissant which he asked to be toasted but it wasnβt warm at all. Tomatoes in it were wedge shaped, making it harder to get through. I had the cheese & ham baguette was tasty but the bread was hard to chew. Saw two flies in the food cabinet where bread loaves which was unfortunate. Place needs good music and a good vibe.
We were the Only ones there and I now know why. I ordered coffee and a chicken roll my wife had hot chocolate and a ham and cheese croissant. The hot chocolate was good but had no marshmallows and the coffee was lukewarm and bitter. For a bakery heating croissants in a sandwich press?? Surely today an air fryer that preserves the integrity of the contents rather than a flat squashed and overheated serving. The chicken baguette contents were lovely fresh and plentiful but the baguette was like chewing cardboard. It was 3.15pm and the end of the day. The premises were clean and clinical, good for meetings but no atmosphere. There are few comparisons between this store and the city branches, Lower Hutt has so much potential but is short on delivery. This is a well-run group and I'm sure they will address the performance of this outlet and in the, new year, we will see a bustling vibrant bakery and CafΓ©.
Fantastic clean, friendly cafΓ© with good selection of food and drink. Happy to accommodate my small dog at an outside table. Can't wait to take friends and family.
Delicious hot chocolate. Lovely and spacious. Plenty of room to fit my pram. Went with a group of mums and we all had lots of space. Good bathroom with a change table for the babies. Didn't have any food but it looked yum. Some of my friends had some and said it was very good. Will be back!
