    We used Lucas to plan our first ever big trip overseas. We have had no previous experience with doing this. We live outside of auckland and Lucas was referred to us by a friend.     I visited Flight Centre in Newmarket in July for help planning my solo trip to Europe. Dylan, who initially assisted me, was fantastic—understanding my needs and helping me choose the best flight options. When I returned the next day to pay for my flights I was helped by someone else. I was told I’d have to book my own insurance, as the staff member’s account wasn’t set up yet, even though this was normally part of their service. I also reached out to Dylan via email for guidance on transport options, particularly regarding trains and flights within Europe. After not hearing back for over a week, I followed up and said I understand if it's busy and didn't want to bother them but I just wanted the transport options sorted so I could book my accommodation. I followed up several more times over the following weeks after not receiving help with this. With my trip approaching, I ended up booking everything else myself. Beyond the flights/automated flight reminders, I didn’t receive any further assistance, which left me feeling a bit unsupported, and not worth the $150 service fee. While my initial experience with Dylan was reassuring, I felt disappointed by the lack of follow-through and communication from Flight Centre during the rest of the process.

    If I could give zero stars, I would. My refund was processed 21 weeks ago and I was told it would take up to 18 weeks. Not only is it a month late, but I have not received any responses to my emails requesting an update. There is a severe lack of organization within this company as I am struggling to get a response. I thought flight center was a renown company, but am wondering if I have just been scammed $3,000 now.

    I went to this branch this afternoon to purchase a one-way ticket to Europe, I was also interested in purchasing travel insurance and accommodation for a month. First, the branch and staff are not welcoming at all. I got there, I saw an attendant who was free (he was scrolling on his phone like all the rest there). I asked if he could help/serve me and he seemed bothered but accepted. Very disengaged. I sat down and asked a quote for the flight I was interested, in which he passed a higher price than I had previously consulted on the minute before, I just politely questioned if we were talking about the same flight, in which he turned his screen in a rude way, laughed ironically and said that it is the global system, not the store system. Okay dude, no need to act like that. I work with customer service and never treated people this way. To work with customers, you gotta love your job or leave it. Fica a dica, querido.

    Calling the New Market flight centre is a nightmare. 4 days total I’ve tried calling at least 4-6 times to ask when my email will be coming through of my flight details that I paid but wasn’t confirmed due to an unknown reason, our trip is in a couple of weeks, therefore the need for these details is urgent. I was told I was going to receive an email confirming my payment etc and it’s been almost 2 weeks now. I can never get anyone one on the phone and I know the store isn’t very busy. I’ve tried calling at different times of the day including the quietest periods and still no answer. Your answer machine advised to leave a message and that I will hear back from you in a day or two and still no call back. It’s making the experience rather frustrating.
