   Sonia was my stylist today. I wanted a wash, cut (split ends cut and layers) and a blow out. And she did an amazing job, I absolutely love my hair!!!! I also came back and got my eyebrows, upper lip, and chin waxed and threaded. Also I got my eyebrows tinted and she was doing that, too. Absolutely love her work and she was super friendly and welcoming. 100% recommend!!!!

   My daughter had a hair cut and blow wave with a lovely talented lady called Sonya. She completely understood what she needed and did a lovely job. My daughter is thrilled and so am I to find a wonderful stylist. Highly recommend this lady.

   I had a horrible experience when I went for a perm and cut. The perming solution went down my neck, I told the hairdresser who dismissed it and said I was fine. At the end of the perm she dried the collar of my shirt with the hairdryer. See photos of my ruined shirt and burned neck. When the perm dropped out after a week I sent photos of my neck, shirt collar and failed perm. The hairdresser called me a liar and said she would take me to court. The manager never let me know when she was in store to discuss the matter. I would have appreciated an apology and refund, they offered a re-perm but I didn’t want to risk being burnt again.

   I will be coming down there tomorrow to get my money back. I asked the person at the front desk and the appointed hair dresser if they could cut my type of hair and they said yes. I was quoted $45 initially then after I showed them the style I wanted I was told $45 to $55 which was fine, then the hairdresser says we have to wash your hair as soon as I sat in the chair so I agreed because she's the expert and just like that the price went up to $70 then I was told I should have a blowout done so I could see the style clearly and I would need to pay $85. I never wear my hair like that so I politely said no thank you. The hairdresser was lovely enough but was so nervous and misunderstood my request to make the fringe heavier by adding and cutting more hair, instead she cut the fringe she'd just cut shorter. I now have the shortest fringe known to man and the layers that were cut look so untidy and none of this looks even remotely like the picture I showed upon arrival and several times during the session. I found I had to encourage the hairdresser to be confident. She said she was nervous because she didn't want to make it look ugly. I think she was so out of her depth. You should've told me you couldn't do the job if you knew you couldn't! I understand that my hair will grow back but this looks like something a small child cut with paper scissors. I am truly embarrassed to go to work like this. I now have to take a half day off work to go to someone else to cut all my hair short to even this out.

   I came to have my highlights redone and Sai was fantasctically amazing. She change my hair color to the ideal shade that suits my skin color. I just love how she did my hair. Thank you Sai, you are amazing!!! You are very professional yet very friendly and very entertaining. I really enjoy my stay at Kess. I will definitely come back. Very satisfied customer here.

   After reading all the reviews, I thought of trying this place for my Haircut and it didn’t let me down. Sai, is an amazing hair stylist she not only gave me a beautiful hair cut but also recommended few good tips to maintain my hair. Aniqa did my eyebrows, chin, lip and underarms, she was careful while doing and also checking if the wax is not very hot. She was amazing as well and waxing was painless. Thank you ladies for wonderful service you guys made my day!

   Made an online booking, came in and the lady said it was not in the system. I showed them the email confirmations I had and asked for her to read it but she ignored looking at the email and gave me attitude for their system screwing up. Then she told me to sit down without communicating how long it will take and just walked off. Very poor customer service skills and they also lack responsibility and professionalism. This is not who you want cutting your hair. I left and went to Just cuts which is a few stores down, it was cheaper than Kess and the staff was very welcoming! I was also very happy with the way they cut my hair, would highly recommend them if this happens to you too. Note: Had an amazing experience at Kess Hair & Beauty Albany though, so definitely don’t rule out Kess!
