Feels like the 1990's throughout but we did more and more of our shopping to try and behave locally before heading out upon Lake Rd traffickle to le other supply chain supermarket what with duopoly arbitrage.Its inspiring in there if you have the time and the champagne tastings help.We'll be back .
Still a good supermarket, but I’m not all that happy about some of the changes made by the new owners. Lots of similar feedback from locals as well … that there are fewer options, everything is being moved around so we don’t know where stuff is anymore, only more expensive options available on many products and the food just isn’t as fresh as it was under the last owner. Potatoes purchase today, already soft. Salmon last week looked beyond its BB date, no way I would buy it - still full price. Meat at full price when it only has a day or two left on the sticker. Custard square purchased a few months ago had mould on the bottom. It’s starting to look more like a northland holiday town supermarket and less like the familiar place many of us have relied on for years and years (and literally spent thousands at each month). Less changes please! Bring back the old Devo NW!! Staff are absolutely lovely.
Purchased a glazed ham last week fron the deli department for a special family event and I have to say it was very good, delish taste and the appearance after the ham was glazed was just perfect. The service from the wonderful ladies behind the deli counter was really to be commended as well. Thanks New World Devonport.
Good supermarket but I think you should give the lovely security guy at the storefront a desk, stool and fan. Especially in this heat!! we need to look after our people firstly, and it doesn't look unprofessional and can still move if needed to. Looking after your staff should be of high priority...just an idea anyway
Good parking and store layout. Pensioner Tuesdays a bonus. Warm friendly helpful staff. Excellent butchery section as is the fresh produce. If a cut of meat not available in meat display area one can buzz the butchery section and ask for the required cut . Someone will always come up to assist with a smile

New world super market is great store with plenty to choose from the store is lay out well and logical the team are fantastic and ample parking
Good place for daily shopping. Great selection of wine with reasonable price. Sometimes staff is relatively unfriendly, but it won’t be a major problem.
