Delicious sausage rolls & cheese toasties rolls today & gr8 pork pie. I'm going back sometime soon for the Mac cheese. Awesome spot by the sea with indoor & outdoor seating. Staff very cheerful & welcoming.

The coffee is average and not always consistent, but the sausage rolls more than make up for it, they’re delicious! The view is amazing. Very peaceful

I’ve been coming to Compass Cafe ever since it opened! It’s provided a good service over the years. Not many cafes with such a spectacular outlook. However it’s great to see a new perspective on the cafe’s offering, facilities and service! Ange, the new owner is providing fantastic new food while maintaining the old favourites! Not only that but prices have dropped!! The upgraded fit out is also timely. I’m sure this is just the start of a succesful future for Compass Cafe! Congratulations Ange and your young team.

I was surprised reading the reviews from PB and the Davey family. I have been coming here since 2018 and enjoyed the atmosphere and coffee. I would occasionally have the sausage rolls. The new owners have taken the cafe to another level. The sausage rolls and cheese rolls have improved as they are now fresh and not left in the warmer to go dry and crusty. They, like the other food is made fresh each day and leftovers are no longer recycled to the next day as the prior owners did. A big positive step forward by the new owners. I now feel comfortable ordering food to go with my coffee. A big thumbs up from me to Ange.

Had an amazing mocha and cheese roll last week. Served by a friendly man and finished by a beautiful sunny day where you can sit and enjoy the boats in the marina would certainly go again

A beautiful location and unique venue right on the water at the marina. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and enjoying our food and Foxton Fizz. The cheese rolls were very dry with very little filling which was disappointing. The caramel square and afghan were good.

A scenic local Cafe floating beside the marina around eastern bays. From the interior design perspective, the decoration theme centres around the boat. The pedals, the lights, flags and steering wheels etc, all the collections let us feel the deep connection with a old historical boat. The meanwhile It could act as local little Conmunity center too. It is easy for local People come to relax & catching-up. Adjacent yacht club. Recommended.

One of those magic locations by the sea to have a quality barista made coffee. Simple food is cooked by Michael and team. The food is tasty and simple, better still the prices are half the costs in the city. Would recommend and definitely eat hear on a sunny morning...
