Has 3/4 of most i need... the old New World was still better with the sales of meat so il travel to Rewa for meat... bring back the butchers parts. Packageing is bad with meat like my mince tray i could of fit in a small sized tray then wrapping on top of wrapping.

i’m only giving an average rating because the last time i shopped there (a few days ago) as i was watching the checkout lady grab the meat packets i had a feeling she was gonna damage the packaging and sure enough when i got home and unpacked everything there was holes in every meat packet. she was wearing gloves but i think due to the packaging already being quite loose it was easy for her to pierce the plastic by the way she grabbed it. obviously i will be back because its my local and cheaper than countdown but now ill have to double check when im there to make sure i leave without any damage. if pak n save could either wrap the meat packets better or staff take more care when putting it through checkout that’d be great. thanks.

Pak’nSave Clendon is one of those supermarkets that’s holding down the fort in a suburb that’s a bit rough around the edges. Let’s be honest, the Clendon shopping area doesn’t give off the most welcoming vibe. Some parts of the complex look run-down, and at times, it can feel a little dodgy, especially in the evenings. Security presence is noticeable, which says a lot about the kind of issues they’ve probably had to deal with. But in the middle of all that, Pak’nSave stands out as the one place that still feels organised, clean, and safe. It’s honestly the anchor holding the whole shopping area together. Without it, you’d probably have far fewer people coming through Clendon at all. The store itself is quite large, with good lighting, a clean interior, and wide aisles that make shopping easier. For a budget-focused supermarket, it does well in terms of cleanliness and layout. Now, on to the good and the bad. Let’s start with the positives. Prices are very competitive. If you’re looking to do a weekly shop without blowing your budget, this is one of the better places to do it. The shelves are usually stocked with pantry basics, canned goods, snacks, cleaning products, and household staples. When it comes to bulk items or meat packs, they’ve got some of the best prices around. Checkout lines move reasonably fast, especially during the day. If you’re just grabbing a few things, you can usually get in and out quickly. However, there are some ongoing issues that need to be called out. The first is the customer service. Staff aren’t rude, but they’re also not exactly helpful or friendly. A lot of times, they seem uninterested or too busy to stop and help, and it’s not uncommon to be met with a blank stare or vague answer when you ask about a product or where something is located. It gives the impression that staff training or morale might be lacking. The second major frustration is the inconsistency between what’s shown online and what’s actually available in-store. Items like blueberries, Indian mangoes, and tamarillos are often listed on the Pak’nSave website, but when you get to Clendon, they’re nowhere to be seen. It’s disappointing, especially when you’ve planned your shop or a meal around those items. For a store of this size, you’d expect the online listings to be at least somewhat accurate. It’s a problem that could easily be fixed with better stock management or a clearer disclaimer on the website. The produce section is okay but not always reliable. Sometimes it’s well-stocked and fresh, other times it looks like it’s been picked over with not much left. The quality of fruits and vegetables can vary, and if you’re looking for specialty items or seasonal produce, your chances of finding them are hit or miss. Despite these issues, it’s still the go-to spot for many locals simply because of convenience and price. Clendon doesn’t have a wide range of shopping options, so for many people, this Pak’nSave is essential. And while it has its flaws, it’s still functioning better than most stores in similar areas. In summary, Pak’nSave Clendon is a lifeline for the local community. The store itself is decent, with good prices and an easy layout, but it suffers from poor customer service and unreliable stock. Still, given its surroundings, it stands out as the one solid, functioning place in a shopping centre that otherwise looks like it’s barely holding on. With some staff training and better stock control, it could be one of the best Pak’nSaves around.

This is the first time we went to this supermarket, reasonably stocked up. It’s clean and tidy in the hot food section, We found some boiled eggs, which was a first to see in any supermarket. We didn’t find a couple of our usual things like some lean cuts of lamb. Layout is similar to any other pak n save. There is plenty of parking. I couldn’t find any undercover parking. The staff is very helpful and courteous the first thing in the morning, and it wasn’t very busy.

Never ever buy anything from the Deli at Pak N Save if its been glad wrapped in those fake plastic containers..(Bought the burger ) Not good as the taste of the plastic goes into the food. I have also found that food is getting alot more expensive now to shop at Pak N Save and shelves are always out of things or empty. I know sometimes it's because it's a marketing strategy, so customers hopefully buy something else that needs selling. On the rare occasion, it's sincere, genuine. However, I've eaten chicken from here that has an AWFUL taste. I wasted it and threw it in the rubbish. It's either what the chicken's are being fed or what they're putting in the chicken while getting processed/packed, etc Even though it may not be the fault of this Pak N Save per say, the thing is, is that I brought it from here. Now I never have chicken from Pak N Save and / or Countdown . These are my reasons for my rating.

Supermarket deals are decent but the few trolleys that are left are FERAL! No infant seats for babies and what trolleys are there the belts in the trolleys are all broken or the actual seat part is missing. Definitely not suitable if your shopping with little ones. Least they still have a serviced deli and fish section!

If you haven't tried their Fried Chicken and Hot Chips. It is a must. Still my main shop. I can do majority of grocery shopping here, meat can be a little pricey but that's why I go to the meat shop. Fruit and Vege not too bad.
