   Visited the Woolworths at Hunters Plaza (Papatoetoe) and had a great experience. The store is clean, well-organized, and the Christmas decorations add a really nice festive touch! I appreciated how clearly the holiday opening hours were displayed right at the entrance—it makes planning so much easier. Friendly staff and plenty of trolleys available.

   Very poor customer service. Today I asked for an item and the lady at the counter said it wasn’t available without even checking. When I checked online, it showed as available, and only then another staff member confirmed it. Their attitude was unprofessional, and no one followed up after saying they would check. I hope they are from Fiji. This isn’t my first bad experience. I’ve seen customers left without help at self-checkout, and in the past I was even told to ‘go search there’ when I asked for assistance. Overall, very disappointing service.

   I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at this Countdown. I was attended by an Indian lady whose behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. From the moment I walked in, she showed no interest in making me feel welcome or comfortable. Her attitude was cold, dismissive, and disrespectful. Instead of being treated like a valued customer, I felt ignored. She rushed through the service, didn’t bother to explain anything, and acted as though I was wasting her time. At one point, her attitude became so rude that I genuinely felt uncomfortable. Customer service is a key part of any business. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. There was no basic courtesy, no professionalism, and certainly no effort to make the experience positive. I am writing this review not out of anger, but in the hope that the management takes this issue seriously. I believe no customer should be treated with such disrespect. I kindly request that the manager review this staff member’s behavior and provide proper training or take appropriate action.

   Woolworths (formerly known as Countdown) is always clean and tidy with good specials. They have a huge selection of different products. Spacious enough and you can check out your own groceries. They also offer cashier assisted shopping. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful. They definitely need to get new signage lol so everyone knows what to call them.

   I am a regular customer in this supermarket. During a recent shopping trip, I had a veg pre-packed item without a price barcode at the self checkout. The lady staff in the checkout area, Pushpa (as on name tag), was most courteous and prompt in her assistance and arranged for a staff member to walk over and get the barcode price . Another person, watching nearby was also impressed by her attitude and behavior. Small things, but they do matter. Thank you.

   Not too bad, small store with limited options as this is the only supermarket in the area, so there is no competition with prices as such. But the neighbouring shops will give it a run for its money with the 2 dollar lunch specials.
